From MINNE-SOTA!
In a weird way, the manner in which Harold interacted with a seemingly distraught Claire reminded me of Ben & Locke's scenes in "The Life & Death of Jeremy Bentham". Half-expected the shadowy interrogation on the casket to end with her asking if he knew the old man who was poisoned, and he'd be all:
The Almighty Temple of Acker wouldn't condone blasphemy.
The camera was off, which very likely indicates neither AI could access it. Maybe for The Machine, as she delivered her message to Samaritan through Claire.
Overall, it was a very nicely done show. I'll admit that they tried a bit too hard in concealing Claire's true nature, on a writing front & an acting front, but that's okay. The seeds of doubt have been planted in her mind, and that's the key takeaway here. It was kinda funny watching Claire buy into the BS…
Maybe he's a fan of Power Rangers.
But don't many folks watch Arrow for Stephen Amell's shirtless chinups?
Nice bit of foreshadowing on Claire's true intentions: Anytime the SPOV screens were scouring to locate her, it just mentioned "Searching", and not "Searching Target".
The Machine's probably not setting it up cause Samaritan could get access to it, and Samaritan isn't doing so, very likely cause of the same reason. Levels playing field in a way.
Well the meeting was in a dead zone, so they can't exactly function like how Root does with dual guns on her best day. And in terms of can't miss, they've been shown to be not so good shots before back in If-Then-Else.
No argument on that, brother.
Root seemed to have the same traits you described (least in terms of following a new idol, and having answers most of the time), during her early days as the Analog Interface. And no way was she hated like this.
Can't love the writers enough for coming up with cheerfully deranged ways for Samaritan to fuck with humanity. Makes it come across as one hell of a magnificent bastard.
To be honest, prior to the ep, Fusco's son was last seen back in Season 1, Episode 20. Him forgetting that is not too much a big deal.
Like Katrina from Sleepy Hollow?
'I don't get where the Claire hatred is coming from. She's young, idealistic, and naive.'
This one may as well be the final "light" episode of the season. If S3 was any indication, everything from Episode 16 to the finale will be very, very, heavy in terms of plot & character progression, and payoffs. The standalone stuff would very likely take a backseat from now…
Fowler gave The Crossing a perfect 10. Nugent here gave it B, cause of the kiss. Probably rubbed him the wrong way.
IGN's reviews, though done well, usually tend to be overtly high on praise (for every show they cover), very rarely looking over the negatives. Don't often come across a review with less than a 7 over there.
