    Linda Hamilton, yay!

"We're gonna have to take the boy." Thank you Mr. Friendly!

He voiced Tarzan in the video game adaptation of the flick as well? I thought Michael T. Weiss took over from there. Never mind, they're both really good.

"A young, impulsive African-American neurologist who decides to take the law into her own hands.”

Thanks for clearing that up. Guess that means Masters of Sex may move up. Who can take Fargo's place then? Sundance's Honourable Woman?

Do you suppose Modern Family'll break Frasier's record next year?

I was just counting total Emmys. Glad Shearer won this year. Truly *EXCELLENT*.

Grammer has 5 (if you count the one in 2006 for Sideshow Bob).

Sorry about that. Maybe the Academy'll wise up. They certainly did with Homeland this year.

Wolf Hall's on BBC 2. I'm guessing either PBS or Sundance might pick it up. The Knick would certainly get nods for Soderbergh, but the Cinemax branding *might* prevent it from a Best Drama nod.

So how does next year's race look like? I posted one when the nominations were announced in July, but would like to amend things based on how things have played out:

Yes, she has 5. Edited the original post, but guess wasn't fast enough. :D
Of course if we're thinking long-term, she doesn't exactly have too much competition & could get it to 6 next year. And Cranston & his Lyndon Johnson project with HBO could take him to 7 (or 8, if he's producing), but that'll probably be only in

I've read that it was possibly submitted under series, because HBO wanted to get the most of the miniseries category with The Normal Heart. Didn't pay-off highly for either, despite pretty strong wins (Fukunaga & for Best Made-for-TV-film).

Moira Walley-Beckett's "Flesh & Bone" with Starz got a serious jump in momentum. Good luck to her.

Not just them. Any of them who tried to exploit loopholes by submitting in different categories bit it (Orange is the New Black, Shameless).

When Cranston picked up Best Actor, expected the possibility that True Detective would win for Best Drama. Figured it was how the Academy would honor Pizzolatto, McConaughey & Harrelson collectively (as they're all EPs), after voting against them in their solo categories.

Remember for those hating on Jim Parsons, it could've been worse if he scored double by winning for The Normal Heart as well. (Folks might've actually preferred that to TBBT)

Best Drama Series: An 8 episode season.
Best Miniseries: A 10 episode season.

Happy for Allison Janney, Cary Fukunaga, Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and the Breaking Bad team.

The top picture makes Mike Vogel seem like a buffed up Charlie Pace.
