I don’t feel particularly sanguine over the chances of massive Dem victories in the midterms. They’ll win the majority of votes, but gerrymandering and incompetent messaging will heavily mitigate those gains. They’ll pick up a few seats in the House. They may actually lose Senate seats (like McCaskill’s), though I’d

I’m also so sure his “14 hours a day” claim is complete BS. He probably counts watching Fox at his office because he doesnt want to go home and talk to his wife as “work.”

He’s also evil, which means he’ll live forever.

This is actually good news. Hillary came within four points of winning Arizona and Flake only won his seat by three points in 2012. AZ is trending away from Republicans because of demographic changes and if Arpaio wins the GOP nomination, it will be a gift because Midterms never go well for the party in the White

Really? I figured all those Texas Republicans voted against aid because they could 1) get conservative cred and 2) screw over all those different color people in Camden, Trenton, Newark, Jersey City, Elizabeth, etc.

I know. And Cory Booker (my senator) won’t vote against aid. But I still get pissed that Ghastly Gohmert’s constituents will get the benefits of federal aid while applauding him for denying it to others. Such a red-state thing to do.

Tell me what were the repercussions those TX reps who voted no for aid to Sandy victims faced from TX voters? Then we’ll talk about showing one’s true colors and what’s embarrassing and depressing.

Aww, how’s that little white dude bubble treating ya? Ready to become an adult eventually?

No, I’m under the impression that the Texas GOP are pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps type and they would want their fellow Texans, who voted them in, to die on that hill with them.

If you think people should become homeless because they are too poor to afford home owner’s insurance that goes beyond elitist. You are a terrible person but I expect you revel in it.

My pets are one of the reasons that I am reluctant to evacuate in these circumstances. Luckily I live on hill that is the highest spot in my little town so my home isn’t in danger from flooding, I still have electricity for the moment, and have a bed full of cats. I expect many of the neighborhood critters to head

That’s a great idea considering insurance companies will fight a claim tooth and nail in order not to pay out.

Gerrymandering doesn’t affect presidential elections.

You’d think all the money Texas saves by banning abortions, keep transsexuals out of bathrooms, and making sure you can walk into TGIFridays with you AR-15, they would have enough money to pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

Damn straight. I had lunch in Guilford a couple weeks ago. They’re still rebuilding. I’m sure our Senators won’t veto their aid though. Most of ours aren’t total dicks like theirs.

None of these people have flood insurance. They’ll either get government bailouts, or they’re screwed. Pretty ironic seeing as how Texas is literally the most anti federal government state in the entire Union

Speaking as someone from Jersey, I support this message. Actually not sure that begging will do it.

I hate recruiters, they’re ridiculously lazy and always offering completely irrelevant jobs.
