Or, if you try playing an arcane warrior, throw fireballs and explosions to get their attention and then rush in swinging hatred and blood magic. Hell yaeh! [sic]

Maybe my opinion is flat out wrong here, but I actually liked that aspect of DA2 - I tried to position my party to protect my casters, but suddenly there are three guys behind me and they're all over their shit. It was intense, if unfair, but pretty exhilarating in its unpredictability.
I've finally finished my re-runs of DA:O and DA2, so it's off to start Inquisition!
I finished my playthrough of Origins last weekend and HOLY SHIT HOW DID I NEVER PLAY A MAGE IN THIS GAME?
It's only been a few years since DA:O at this point though, right? How much damage can a 5 year old God do?
Leliana is so charming and optimistic in the first game, I miss that.
I had the EXACT experience (how can anyone not romance Leliana in that game?), but my rejection was only -16 so I'm not sure what the hell you said to that poor man. I friendzoned the shit out of him, he seemed to tolerate that OK.
Why does a game about "engaging with wonder and joy" have to make dead parents a fundamental story element? I've been playing Race the Sun and it's a charming distraction but the existentialist sloganeering (Life has no meaning, death is inevitable, all of this was for nothing) is an unpleasant distraction and this…
You never once got launched into space by a giant? I feel like you missed out on one of the fundamental joys of that game
I mention this almost every time Fable II comes up, but I played through the conclusion of that game when I desperately needed a distraction after coming home from the vet where I'd just put my dog to sleep.
Did you go through and do a playthrough where you deactivate the Geth?
My Thornton was the kind of man who'd call a whisteblower a bitch to her face before blackmailing her with threats of ratting her out to her terrorist boss.
I would love to see a census of DA:O Warden mages and see how many DIDN'T become blood mages or spirit healers/abominations. If you take a poll of all the mages in the DA:O/DA2 world (barely started DA:I, so can't say), there are like 2 mages total that aren't either blood mages, apostates, or abominations.
I'm finishing up my replay and FUCK SER CAUTHRIEN AND HER GOT DURN SUMMER SWORD. That fight is a horror show.
It's a favorite quote of mine and gets a lot of use when I troll Drudge Report comment sections. Especially because Planck was a Christian and wrote important articles on the usefulness of religion in science.
It's not like that's the last opportunity they had to see it though
I only read the first and it was pretty torturous. The sexual politics are horrifically dated and unpleasant, and I'm not the type that generally notices that kind of thing
At the same time, aren't we saying your knowledge of one field has little relevance to your wisdom in another? Why would his correct or incorrect views on DNA have any relevance to his views on comparative religion?
A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it. Science advances one funeral at a time.
I don't think marvel needs any more attention at this point. They already have, like, all of it
