When I read it I figured Collins just couldn't write well enough to resolve the love triangle in a less heavy-handed way.

Do SAs generally have platforms? Apart from "these people endorse me"?

I missed the blue one (that's a good thing) but the first two from his mock-trial, and especially the pinkish-reddish-stripey thing were both tacky as hell

I can't disagree more - those things were distractingly heinous.

To me she's a person who believes she's good, which occasionally motivates her to do a good thing, but also entitles her to do whatever she wants because she's a "good person."

I'm totally with the buzzfeedy journalist who called Alicia out for being fake for showing up at that soup kitchen. Surely nobody would show up to a soup kitchen to clean pots in a $3000 suit more than once, right? It had to be her first time there, and the timing was totally political. And it is not a stretch to say

Isn't that 100% consistent with the tone of the season so far though? The CIA has bombed a wedding, traded death lists with terrorists, and allowed analysts to blackmail their way into positions of power. The creepiness of fucking a teenager for information seems completely right for Homeland's CIA

The least believable element of this whole season has been the idea that Farah couldn't get it

To be fair, they are a startup with extremely limited infrastructure and support. My firm has been around for 5 years and still hasn't managed to set up group benefits- they know they're overpaying their people to make up for it but they're too busy to fix the problem

I loved the ending. Some people may read it as a happy ending but I saw it as the opposite - a repeatedly damaged woman fell from one bad relationship into another with a man who is probably worse. To call it a happy ending is a narrow reading.

The first time I played through Morrowind I mercilessly killed shopkeepers (and just about anybody else) if I thought they had goodies I could steal. Sure enough, I killed people who were critical to 1. the Fighters Guild I had been working with for 50+ hours and 2. the whole main quest.

    Confirmed for SoCal too

Why is it acceptable for YA to be pandering and thoughtless? Are kids a better receptacle for bad writing than adults? I'd say the opposite is true- just like we have higher nutrition standards for children, we need higher reading standards for children. There is no reason for kids to read Divergent when Terry

No comment about the *SPOILERS* fact that she was able to shoot the president in the face with hardly any consequences?

"They call me The Shoulger. You will know my victims because they'll be dead by gunshot to the shoulder. It's my calling card."

The handcuffed part was my favorite for multiple reasons. 1, there's no way anyone can mistake that she was in custody and incapacitated when she was thrown, but more importantly - 2, she can't even flail her arms!

When Jack turns it in for his carte-blanche reward I hope he asks for Kate's number

Do not underestimate Londoners' ability to get down to the pub. Happy hour in London is practically mandatory

I'd be too afraid she'd tie me to a bed and tattoo "DISTRACTING" or something on my chest

Do they even sell the Chrysler 200 in the UK?
