Bradley Cooper sounds like a walking teenage Tumblr comment. I'm surprised he didn't use a single hashtag in that paragraph
I agree with all of that. In the end it comes down to message and marketing - Microsoft's timing was terrible and the Kinect release was tone-deaf. If they had handled it differently maybe they could have framed the conversation in a different light that didn't hit on America's Fear Of The Moment.
You must get really peeved by Miller Lite commercials
I can understand that having an independent webcam makes people more conscious of it, but how is this different from the webcams and mics that are built into the majority of laptops made today? Do people not buy Apple laptops because they all have cameras on them?
When did I cry "bigotry" (your quotes)? And when did I say it's my religion? I'm an agnostic.
“God is an ever-receding pocket of scientific ignorance that's getting smaller and smaller and smaller as time moves on.”
Thanks for the blanket statement that I never implied or even considered. There are far more examples of atheism well-presented (Hawking) than there are of Tyson's brand of flack.
It's not his beliefs, it's the hostility. The irony is that you fault people who are "too wrapped up in their own prejudices to respect someone who doesn't share their personal beliefs" when that's exactly the criticism I offered for DeGrasse-Tyson
Can DeGrasse-Tyson really be Sagan's heir when he's so defined by his atheism? I'm not saying it disqualifies him from being an intellectual, only that it clouds his image in a way that is damning to many people.
The only sad part of this finale is the lesson it's going to give Showtime- they've killed off Brody, which was the right decision from a writing standpoint, but viewers are going to leave in droves. People who have been tiring of Homeland's flaws were going to leave at the end of this season regardless, and the end…
On the recommendation of some readers here I picked up a copy of Amalur and I'm reveling in the playfulness that is the combat system. I've been so jaded with RPGs whose combat acts like WoW or Skyrim (walk up to things, hit button, get hit, repeat) that I'm enjoying diving out of the way of big smashy hammers and…
Pulitzer prize winner, even
As someone who has managed to avoid all the Tyler Perry movies (except Tyler Perry's Star Trek), can you say why they are 'politically and morally repugnant?'
I remember a story that described the recruitment process as, basically, stalking actors for years until they cave, make them sign the dotted line to make you go away, then do everything possible to prevent them from backing out. I think it was successfully hidden by the back office guys who protect the reputations of…
Lets juxtapose the locales- what if someone blew up a part of the Republican Guard headquarters and then showed up in, say, Montgomery, AL? I think a crowd would show up and cheer.
Google "Lesbians react hollywood reporter" and read through some of the comments, tell me what you think of them once you read what they think of their fellow man.
Last week I was reading some inane comments on a Hollywood Reporter article linked by Drudge Report and this movie came up - I'm going to repost the comment in full becuase it's amazing:
I'm worse than a 96 hour sucker- I'm a 120 hour sucker. I introduced my wife to it after season 3 and rewatched the first 3 with her. Had I invested my time differently I could be posting this in Spanish right now!
Sorry Sandor :(
