Indeed, but well-worn (not destroyed, like mine, but worn) suspension has its own charm too. There was something pleasant in my Volkswagen’s ride when it started getting all soft and bouncy.
Had a college buddy that owned a Fiat 128SL that he absolutely hated. Off-roaded the thing until it fell apart and had a good time doing it. He called it “Fiating” with his four-wheeler friends.

I really enjoyed this sort of thing with my Golf TDI when I lived in Kansas - it tackled hellacious winters like a champ, and it was wicked fun playing “rally driver” while skipping across the unpaved dirt roads of the Middle-of Nowhere, Midwest.
