As a transwoman I have a huge reluctancy to fly because of my fear being groped and harassed by the TSA.

(prepping my blind fold and last smoke):

Really? I thought this was a weird take. Highway cruising is already solved. Short city drives like this are the most challenging.

this is such a dumb take. just because the driver can doesn’t mean they should. we SUCK at driving, We humans are not designed to move at 60 MPH let alone react at that speed. the reason to get to level 5 is to get as many of us to take our hands off the wheel as possible because we kill so many people each year it’s

These comments always make me laugh. Every time I get the itch for a new car I drive just about anything that looks interesting. Price point only applies to those I can’t afford. Twice in the past I’ve replaced an existing car with one that cost significantly less because I just liked it more. If you’re shopping for a

What’s funny is when I read that line you quoted I was like “theyre on a decent amount of vehicles?..” but couldnt remember specific examples. Then I saw your comment and realized that Ive owned 2 of the cars in your pics smh

Most of this inquiry will be bunk since the vision systems (which I was hugely skeptical of) do seem much more aware of the context of the world (and persistent objects) than the radar based systems.

That said, these events occur typically when a vehicle is partially in a lane and radar has to ignore a stationary

Not really, people have been defeating these systems since before Tesla had Autopilot (in fact these tricks were brought over from those other brands). It’s just Tesla naturally draws more attention recently and is more reported by the media. Doesn’t mean it’s necessarily the main brand where this is done.

Its not exoneration of Tesla.  It’s confirmation that peoples blinding hate for Tesla causes them to overlook the same issues elsewhere.

Car & Driver just discovered that more complex mouse traps just make for smarter mice. i.e. any system can be circumvented if the driver tries hard enough. If you required a heart monitor, someone would engineer a false pulse generator. If you required a 3d scan of your face, people would 3d print copies of their

yeah this year and a half has shown just how garbage people are.

I used to not understand the thinking behind “I’m buying this car for these advanced driver’s assistance systems, but I refuse to operate the way they are intended to used.”

It is just another Aventador

I know it’s kind of a cliche at this point, I know I’m sort of sick of it as the go-to for ambitious engine swaps, but...

GM LS-series.

Being in a union worked out well for me and I’m very grateful. Being able to have a voice without repercussions is a good thing. However just like anything else there are bad apples. Solidarity forever.

A 2018 Grand Touring is our primary family car. Absolutely love it. The big problem with this vehicle compared to the rest of its segment is space; if the car is right sized for you, it’s absolutely the way to go. When we were shopping for a vehicle, my girlfriend at the time (now wife) was looking at Lexus, BMW, all
