Tesla is clearly going to have their design studio in China develop an EV to compete with the Bolt. I suspect it will be far better engineered, with more range, and more features. We already know the manufacturing process will be revolutionary.

I get that tesla has a cult like following with some, and Elon has plenty of indefensible statements, but all car enthusiast circles are just as dumb with the groupthink. I’d take obnoxious Tesla owners that try to make the planet more hospitable over the toxic masculinity truck bro that wants to poison your air any

But how will they be overtly racist without the worry of being called out for their racism?!

I think I do on an electric bike, if they use that information and connectivity to improve the experience. Teslas preheat their battery when they know you’re driving to a charger, for example.

MAGA hat douche: “I’m a giant asshole that doesn’t care about anyone but myself!

Does the exhaust header look as amazing in person as it does in pictures?

Why do all the legacy auto journos seem hellbent on seeing them fail? Us weirdos can keep our Miatas and Porsches running long after they stop selling ICE cars, so why are they so threatened? EVs are superior in so many ways, especially to non-car people. And if we grow up, we might even get enthusiast EVs to enjoy.

Completely agree. I love our Mazda and Honda DDs, but both companies are remarkably dismissive of EVs.

I know this is going to get a lot of hate here, but I’m fully ready to buy EVs only going forward. I would love another loud, manual, fast sports car, but there’s something so attractive about a car that’s faster,

I feel like the unicorn but I just sold a very powerful dct car for a manual one with half the power and I couldn’t be happier. I hated my first DCT and I hated my last one (2016 S6). Sure a few out there like PDK work well, but it’s still way less engaging

If they offered a fast version in the 550-650 hp range, I’d be first in line to trade in my S6 and buy one. I want a fast wagon, and Audi refuses to bring the S6/RS6 wagon here!

APR has a transmission tune that seemingly handles it; different shift parameters and different clamping forces. They are open with their customers on the audizine forum (their knowledge of Audi vehicles is incredible), and I have yet to find a single trans failure with a tuned S6/S7, even without a transmission tune.

Building a garage right now - 24x32x12h - and it probably won’t add more than a few dollars to the total value. Don’t care - I’m finally getting my nice garage with space for cars, motorcycles, a lift, and a workshop.

That’s why I picked up an S6 for daily driving now that I have a little one. Well, that and a simple tune taking it to 630+ lb-ft

That’s not a bad thing. Did it with my Vantage while I had it. Enjoy!

ouch, my feels

Admit it, you just wanted to post a picture of your GTS

That’s why we replaced the Mrs’ car with a loaded CX-5 instead of one of the luxury crossovers - tons of tech that’s done really well, quiet and comfortable ride, excellent interiors, safe, and very efficient. They saved money where it isn’t nearly as important, like a manual passenger seat. Fine with us.

I had a lotus elise, and while the soft top rolled up and fit in the trunk, the hard top was seriously bolted to the car. It was a huge pain to put on and take off, but it looked the best on the car.

I don’t ever want another targa like that.

Can everyone stop feeding the Meeker troll? When you ignore them they’ll go back to their echo chamber and we can continue to have an adult conversation.

Sums up my experience perfectly the one time I got caught in light snow coming home from KOP. Did a hell of a mean burnout and drove the car sideways up my driveway, though
