I never really got the Rapide until this past Saturday. I was driving home, hopped onto the highway, and there was a white Rapide directly in front of me. The ridiculous oversized aftermarket wheels were a mess, but the car looked wonderful on the road. It's proportions, the exhaust note, they were all just... right.

Man up children. Aston Martin V8 Vantage (GT if it has to be new).

I was annoyed that they kept making these, but I finally get it. This is, by far, modern Bugatti's masterpiece.

Very true. The 550i, recently available with a manual, and the M Sport pack has to be one of the best cars ever made. I'm not a BMW fan at all, but I spent the past few years thinking about buying one. Ultimately I went less practical and less subtle, but there's something *just right* about that car.

I can't comment on this specific model, but I've spent quite a bit of time in an earlier V8 Vantage and it's exactly as he described... but a bit softer and slower. It's a fantastically old-school approach to sports cars of this class, and it's always exciting to drive at any speed. It always makes you feel special,

Thanks!

Again, the numbers are pointless on the street. This is a million times more fun to drive, and makes you feel so much better.
Now, I just need to decide if I'm keeping these ridiculous 20" wheels or going back to the stock 19" 7 spokes that look so good (maybe with spacers).

That's what I just did! Admittedly, it's an 07, because I can't afford anything newer. But it's not a 911 (everyone has one where I live) and it is a manual.

That was pretty intense. It looks like quite a competent race car... can't wait to learn more about these cars and how they really perform.

Wasn't expecting him to offer a 2 year warranty on a 2000hp car! I hope these can live up to the hype and prove to the world that they really did it!

Lots of joke, but we all know if Porsche makes it, they will sell way more than anyone expects.

He lives in Philly, not Camden.

I think this design will age well over the time you'd have the vehicle. Think of how crazy the spindle grill looked a year or two ago, and now (I think) it's much better. Some designs are ahead of their time, and I really do think this is one of them. It's not going to be the standard of automotive beauty, but I

I'm along the same lines as you. Even though I don't love it, I'll be far happier to see this than the endless RX's. Lexus did what we all asked, and went far more bold than we expected.

The Huracan actually has a couple of those design details; the swoop down behind the front wheel arch is particularly striking.

Also came here to say classic British owners. Maybe it's because they have to be humble owning something that breaks down more than it runs, or that they have some of the most fun to drive cars ever built, but they are damn fine people. I've never met an old British car owner who wasn't welcoming and excited to talk

Thanks!

Patrick, do you think this is a good mix of enthusiast fun and everyday livability? Imaging someone with a boring daily driver and a hardcore sports car that wants something fun, but could also be driven for 6 hours in a day without pulverizing a spine. Basically, I'm asking, is this a sports car that can imitate a GT

I can't believe I never saw this before! Thank you

I think there are several of us who would own one for years before wondering why we bought a car just for this gimmick!

You're far too concerned about making a decent car. Speed and fun at all costs (says the Lotus owner)
