I was able to make an emergency 911 call a week ago on Jelly Bean 4.1 on my VZW GN, no problem. It entered this strange "call-back mode" for five minutes, perhaps something that allows any subsequent calls to be taken over by 911? It was in the notification area and no other information was available.

Also, you refer to it as a phone at one point. And you can tell Google Now to never show you the bus again, what are you, a prole, as-if. But still show subway. (It's under the transit card options, which is pretty sweet.)

I'm not entirely clear on the need for the water... I get that it "keeps it fresh" but my relatively air-tight butter holder works just fine, no? To be fair, I'm in Arizona with basically no humidity... don't know if that would matter... (seems counter-intuitive)

It's also sold refrigerated so that you can actually transport it. They make butter bells that seal the butter in with a layer of water, too, but I just leave mine under a heavy butter thing.

In actual labs where science and such are done, lab coats serve an extremely relevant purpose: safety. Synthetic materials can ignite and melt into the skin, and in the case of this link, kill lab assistants. So they're not going to be phased out entirely.
