Or.... it is a joke about putting down an old/wounded animal. Something that is not uncommon on farms and ranches.
They are part of the joke though. To take one part of it out of context and run wild with internet rage is just stupid. They are frequently used by team social media accounts to add flavor to stat updates.
The emojis make the joke though. Its a shame this guy lost his job after the Shame Police came riding into town.
From just following the account, I do not recall him doing anything else that could be deemed ‘edgy’. It was mostly GIFs of Harden doing the cooking hand motion or Howard dunks with occasional jokes.
The Rockets Twitter account has been one of the best in the NBA, and to be fired over a misinterpreted joke is god damned travesty. I hope he finds a new gig quickly. Thanks internet for taking a joke about normal farm/ranch behavior into rape outrage and costing a guy his job.
It was a joke about killing a horse.
Sound the rape alarms! Rockets are clearly not joking about putting down a wounded/old animal.
You city folks just don’t get it! Sometimes the nicest thing to do is put a wounded animal out of its misery.
A Memphis-Houston series would be really fun! I would expect Randolph and Gasol to ultimately pull Memphis ahead since Houston is so small outside of Howard, but they can certainly win if the 3-ball is falling.
Same here! I love watching sports and playing video games, so this was a cool alternative to highlights of my Rockets getting beat.
It just finished up on ESPN 2. They had booth/table setup at the event for the announcers and had a freeroaming camera to highlight what was going on.
Not having any experience with MOBAs, I found it pretty fun to watch.
Those announcers were highly entertaining! I had no idea what was going on, but it made me feel better after a brutal Rockets lost. More esports on ESPN!
Highly Questionable is pretty fun.
My favorite trolling moments are split evenly between Call of Duty: Black Ops and Battlefield Bad Company 2.
I want to believe in this one, BUT the guy is leaning over when the camera gets to him. I call shenanigans until further evidence presents itself.
Thanks!
