I get your point; I guess it was just easier for me to buy into the idea that Haliday wanted to celebrate the pop culture of his childhood and pass it on with elaborate puzzles. But yeah, it's basically teen lit aimed at 40-somethings. I agree the movie will be better, though.

Anybody read Zero K? That was my introduction to DeLillo. Not sure what I was expecting, but I enjoyed it well enough.
