Ummmm, I invented this back in the third grade in the early 70's.
@jinushaun: The situation may be complicated, but the solution is simple.
@MkFly: That.... is frightening.
I don't believe IE6 is going to die for good until 2 things happen:
@thefjk: Flash isn't going anywhere.
@Copper: Hobbyist = experimental in essence. For production studios like mine, XHTML 1.0 Transitional & PHP with a little Flash will continue to be standard for a long time coming. HTML5 changes nothing. Not until it's supported & adopted by the masses & thoroughly run through the crash course, which is many many…
@SDreamer: Mine reset too, and guess what? It's Microsoft's fault. How do I know? Because I only use Win 7 for testing in IE 8. I have no other software on that machine except Windows 7. There's no one else to blame.
@MS-18E Shadoblak: But you have to admit, at least they are fun, and funny. Microsoft's commercials are just bizarre & disturbing.
@dieriding: 2 problems with that.
This will only add to the chaos that is web development for everyone less than uber-rich high-end corporate stuff like Disney or Nike, or the experimental stuff that is too weird to look at or navigate for more than 3 seconds.
@Phoshi: That one was the best so far. I nearly choked on my dinner when I first saw JH in the 80's wig. ;-)
Broken promises?
I enjoy LH topics & discussion, but my goal in life is not to "earn" a star. It seems a lot like a Kindergarten reward to me. I'm 43, not 5.
@Phoshi: sorry, Intel C2D. (running SL & Win 7)
MacBook Pro here running 3.06 ghz, 8gb of ram and a SSD....
@krizanh: I went to a party 2 or 3 years ago where the host & hostess actually chartered private buses for the day/evening to pick everyone up, and deliver them back home.
@AmphetamineCrown: Interesting... 124 of them want nothing to do with the party and 32 of them will be violently ill that day.
@OCEntertainment: I think basing it on available seating, not necessarily 1:1 but maybe 1.5:1 or even 2:1 seating is the wiser choice. Unless you're hosting a rave, people want to sit down.
@jthatch: I generally just use common sense, based on my own formula of, how many places do I have available for people to sit down, then add half that number again because there's always people up walking around and whatnot. So for this place, that usually comes out to around 15 people or so max. Any more than that…
