This formula doesn't make much sense. It's suggesting that, in a 3000 sq ft home, I could fit 600 people in it?

For several years now I've only traveled with a single carry-on. I usually pick out clothes I want to get rid of anyway for one reason or another and wear those on the 1st part of the trip, (and whatever can fit in a carry-on backpack.), buy new stuff while I'm there and throw out the old stuff, then wear the new

I stopped dicking around with trying to "clean things up" a long time ago. If a relative's comp is hosed, do your best to make a copy of their important docs & pics & whatnot if possible, nuke the thing and reinstall from ground zero.

@Hadouken: Well, to be fair & up front, I AM a graphics pro.

@danger the pirate: To each his own. I try to stay on top of input-device tech, and until you own a Wacom Cintiq..... there's really no discussion. $79 for a mouse is perfectly normal.

@saifrc: Beware: I used the VX Nano & Revolution for a long time, and bought at least 6 of each...... and while I thought they were great, the Magic Mouse is much more narrow. It will cramp your hand.

"Pricey"?

Couldn't care less, leaning towards "hate it". Not a practical or useable option in my world. The Internet is still nothing more than a necessary evil in my life. Not the be-all-end-all. And if it there were another way to for me to interact and deliver work to my clients, I wouldn't need the Internet at all.

@bikeman07: Depends on what you're putting in the storage space I suppose. An extra $60k car or $30k in furniture? Might be worth paying the storage fee versus buying it new on the few occasions that you need it. Some old busted vacuum cleaner? Probably not.

No Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, or any of the rest.

@DH405: Whatever.

@ptyork: A simple TCP hijack will not be detected by antivirus software, and will effectively siphon every last stitch of identity you have on your comp.

@Marand: If you want to know just how open you are to the Internet, the best resource I know of is GRC's Shield's Up. [www.grc.com]

@TheFu: Nice link.

@Marand: Sorry for the multiple replies.... it's been a long day.

@Marand: "outbound firewalls on a desktop PC are Completely Pointless. If the malware has made its way onto your computer, you have already lost the war."
