Watched The Nice Guys and was underthrilled, but still had fun. He was famously pain-averse and criticized for lacking toughness as a superstar. It's like this is what he wanted for himself all along. It's like if Dan Harmon happily settled in writing a 10 year running CBS sitcom.
Underrated detail: the books on the edge of the bed, seemingly put there to topple over. It's a perfect comedic setup. He obviously put them there to get them in the shot so it looks like an office, but they ended up a punchline. Great sound editing on the falls too.
