That is incorrect. I have certifications to do repairs on such air brake systems and that is exactly backwards. The parking brake works like that, but the regular brakes are controlled by applying air pressure.

You are wrong about how air brake systems work. What you have said is how the emergency/parking brake system works. It is fail safe, loose air pressure ,i.e. line ruptures or system pressure goes below 60 psi because of excess pumping of the brake pedal then the brakes will automatically apply and will not release…
They’re already running the red light. Do you think they care that much about traffic safety to check the side streets for oncoming traffic?
Oh the irony that the ad on the side of the bus is for an accident attorney!
A crash in Atlanta and the roads involved didn’t have Peachtree in the name somewhere? I don’t believe such a place exists.
Nah man! Bullets totally can curve! I saw it in this documentary that featured Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman!

Murica, summed up in a single photograph. Yeehaw.
The Type S is priced against the A4, not the S4. The S4 with comparable options is well over $60K.
It’s a bit disingenuous to say “starting price of $53k for a Type S”. The Type S has all the option packages already. I think they only thing Honda offers on this vehicle is a $800 tire upgrade.
I swear to god if you can tell a 0.1 second difference in the quarter mile by the seat of your pants, I will give you a million dollars
Store Brand Musk: 60% of the time, it works every time. This is not one of those times.
You know.... there is a lot of blame on this guy who was constantly trying to get hype in order to fund his new company before there was ever any substance behind it, but.... I think it also speaks to the amount of money people are willing to pump into a company that has shown... nothing. No real evidence of a…
VW doesn’t even have a 400hp engine, but the 3.6l VR6 might have been better choice.
Agreed. The MDX Type-S is about to have 355 hp, and that’s basically in the same size segment. I’m no horsepower gatekeeper, but when Honda (whose horsepower philosophy has always been, eh, enough) will put more power in their sport edition than you, maybe your sport edition needs to step the fuck up.
Yeah, came to say the same. As a counterpoint, the Ford Edge is surprisingly powerful at 250-330 HP but weighs up to 900 lb less than an Atlas Cross Sport. Giving the latter 300HP should just be “adequate”, not sporty or exciting.
Yikes... I honestly assumed it had more than that.
300 horsepower — so, 65 less than a 2013 Flex.
“Honestly, for most drivers, you really don't need much more than that” isn’t a sentence that should be used in connection to something you're selling as a top end sports model.
uhm a boring old (and equally heavy) Highlander can be had with 300hp. It’s hardly something special. I know that a Tiguan GTI with 250hp to compete with the CX-5 Turbo would sell well if VW prices it right and would address the biggest issue I had with the current Tiguan - power.
300 hp in a vehicle the size of the Atlas?
