I want to hear Janet’s perspective not JT’s. He needs to say Bye Bye Bye until we hear her take, from her mouth to our ears.

Ok, my memory of the “wardrobe malfunction” is admittedly not great. But, I always thought JT intentionally ripped off part of Ms. Jackson’s costume. At least, that’s what it looked like to me when I watched it way back in the 6th grade. Also, “wardrobe malfunction” was then equivalent to “alternative facts” in…
I’m sitting here thinking, “Is this what it looks like when black folks react to a black man being accused of something and we say, ‘You KNOW they always trying to bring a brotha down!’” Cuz they DO pull shit against us, but maybe this particular muhfucka is appropriately targeted for his misbehavior. It’s funny how…
Is she saying she was aware of anything that happened to Dushku? I read it and she seemed to be advocating for a better system because it was too easy for adults to assume their fellow child actors could handle themselves and not notice things like this.
Sad for you.
What matters a little less is whether what he did was “misconduct.” I’m leaning toward he’s kind of a pushy asshole, not a date-rapist.
Yes.

Right cat: You’re a funny looking cat...
I sort of find it hilarious that he went for you. As if he has some kind of boob-job radar. (No disrespect intended, but you know...)
Look girl, no one here wants to see Don Jr! We wanna see those perfect boobs!!! No, but seriously congrats and I’m glad you love them!!
I read the comments and feel like I need to say this:
It’s not enough.
I stg, the author just wanted to throw a jab at second wave feminists for some reason.
It’s just another excuse to pick on us #olds
And everyone has always hated Katie Roiphe.
I don’t think anyone wants Katie Roiphe or those French women included in their wave, do they? To me the French women are just the older iteration of Ivanka Trump type “empowerment” self-proclaimed feminists, they’re not radical thought leaders.
You titled this wrong. If you want to go after liberal feminism, go ahead, but this is not about second wave feminists. You can find this kind of “feminism” in every feminist generation, including your own.
They don’t recognize themselves in this feminism because they are not feminists. Roiphe, Merkin, Deneauve, etc. all exploit the patriarchy for their personal gain and can’t extend their imaginations to anyone else’s experience. That’s not feminism of any wave.
Second wave feminism is the absolute anthesis of “liberal” feminism, aka “fun” feminism. You seem to be labeling these women as “second wave” because of their age. Not very feminist of you, is it?
