We have a new puppy! I only had to do an 8 hour round trip in the car with my kids and my wee dog to pick her up. And we really didn’t know for sure that she’d be there (the SPCAs in this area are notoriously bad at updating their sites). But we got there before opening and we fell in love and took her home.

I just got back from a hike. I took my neighbors’ dog (Lola, 9 year old boxer) since we have the kind of hood where we can take their dog, randomly leave beer in their fridge, and exchange babysitting for booze and peanut butter.

It’s awesome how much hard work you put into the Greens - that line of work, especially as volunteers, isn’t easy. I actually thought they were a bigger party from what I’d seen out and about as well as online, so maybe one day soon it will gain more voters.

I’ve seen the Greens out and about in my neighborhood! I always feel bad saying no to the pamphlets but that’s because (as I tell them) I’m not a citizen and can’t vote here. Also...those Fizza posters...are those meant to be critical? Just curious.

This week was a terrible one. My family troubles intensified and Emily got out twice. The first time, she was missing for a while, but she came back and was fine.

Wednesday, my roommate left the door to our balcony deck open and she must have fallen or jumped off the balcony the second time, and landed right on her…

I just spent the better part of 6 hrs cleaning up, sorting, and disposing of nearly 10yrs worth of magazines, old bills, receipts up the wazoo, etc. Bear in mind this is shit that has moved with me twice. As in 2 times I had the chance to cull the mound and 2 times I let the movers pack it.

Officially participated in my first booty call type situation (went in with my eyes open and all). Feeling a pretty equal mixture of pride and self-loathing. I will accept Internet high fives and assurances that everything is going to be alright.
