The point being that as with most social media, it has built-in mechanisms that reinforce polarization by ensuring that users are surrounded only with like-minded content. Turns out that’s a huge factor in what got us here.

It’s important to note that one person, or even a small group of people, can’t just come up with a new standard and expect everyone to follow it. I could just as easily write something that says you should always refer to people by their deadname. That doesn’t make it so.
