It looks like every other car on the road, that’s my point. It could be a new Civic, some BMW thing, a Chevy Malibu....

A Leaf? You’re comparing this to a Leaf? Boy, some of you will type anything and click “Publish.”

Leaf is heinous, that’s why they can’t give them away.

It doesn’t have the retracting door handles. They work like the early 70's Grand Prix door handles.

The understated design is exactly why it will stand out. When every other car on the road looks like the lovechild of a crinkle-cut french fry and an electric razor, sleek and minimalist turns heads.

Best looking “affordable” electric car out there in my opinion.

I don’t think it’s meant to be an eye grabber. But you are correct, Tesla fans will love it. They are the ones that count, not the unwashed masses. I still have a deposit down on one :)

What do you expect for this price point? You get what you pay for.

Probably easy to get used to once you actually sit in the car.

If you don’t like it, don’t be an early adopter (or don’t live in NJ). Wait until its good and mature and buy it then (or live somewhere else). How many times has Tesla said Autopilot is still beta?

not really the same class of vehicle. small sedan vs... whatever the bolt is supposed to be.

cus people dont’ want to own a chevy?

TLDR: Expensive, technologically complicated vehicles are more costly to repair and have longer lead times. Not unique to Tesla.

Off and on topic. I wonder if the day will come that you can get in your car while over the alcohol limit and it takes you home without any legal worries of a DUI.

You know, I’ve looked and I’ve looked and I just can’t see anywhere in my comment where I said a single fucking thing about Hillary Clinton.

As the residents of Trumpistan are so fond of saying, she lost. Get over it. Focus on the short-fingered piss golem we’ve got to deal with now.

I don’t think any reasonable person doubts that those things would be far less likely under Clinton.

My expectations and hopes are unbelievably low. I’ll actually consider the next four years a success if there are no nuclear weapons deployed and no significant land wars. I’m assuming that the economy, the social safety net, and basic human decency are already doomed.

You pretty much lost any debate you might have been trying to have the second you mentioned the Hummer story. That's one of those stories that has been floating around now for at least 10 years and has been easily disproven over and over again. But just because Its worth mentioning why this assertion is wrong for the

Oh really? Exactly what kind of "Statement" is it supposed to make? You see, I have a much more boring reason for having bought one: It was a 25k car that got good fuel economy for my miserably long commute. And it was reasonable reliable.

I used to drive a Prius and let me first state that the ONLY people who make the claim that Prius drivers are "Smug" or whatever are.... people who do not own or like Priuses. That whole phrase was some made up horse shit. That's been the experience I've had. In reality the Prius might as well be a Camry or Ford
