It speaks volumes that the world’s largest car maker can’t justify making their own sports car anymore. Demographics rule, and it seems young people can’t afford a new $60K sports car. I’m guessing old guys with enough money know enough to just get a Bimmer.

Now if we can get more rear overhang to create truly useful cargo holds, we’ll be getting somewhere...

“...but selling two different SUVs with the same name that are not just gas and EV versions of the same car doesn’t make sense to me.”

A stock Honda Valkyrie with flat-6 engine makes a Porsche-like sound when it has a small exhaust leak ahead of the muffler ;)

No sympathies for any of them. If you want to be on the front row at Idiotfest, have at ‘er.

Was wondering that myself. Only PDK with the hybrid?

Governments have to set goalposts for industry, or else nothing will change. Those posts can change position over time, but everyone needs a target. Think about smog reduction targets in the 80's. Have you recently driven behind a 70's era car? You can smell it half a mile behind. Imagine if every car on the road was

We’ve gotten Mitsubishi’s coolest van stateside before, decades ago, but now it seems Nissan has plans to give us a fully off-road-ready variant...”

You could pay that much for a 24 year old Miata these days.

That would be called Drive To Survive ;)

To be fair, the Waymo didn’t go berserk with road-rage and run down the swarm of offending dorks riding their unlicensed and uninsured unicycles down the middle of the roadway... A human may very well have.

Something’s not right here. Who picks up a brand new vehicle and stops to refuel/charge after 35 miles?   If the vehicle wasn’t fully charged at delivery, then that’s a whole other story.

Brakes, engine parts, suspension... all likely available in the aftermarket, which should ease things.
