“...but selling two different SUVs with the same name that are not just gas and EV versions of the same car doesn’t make sense to me.”
A stock Honda Valkyrie with flat-6 engine makes a Porsche-like sound when it has a small exhaust leak ahead of the muffler ;)
No sympathies for any of them. If you want to be on the front row at Idiotfest, have at ‘er.
Was wondering that myself. Only PDK with the hybrid?
Governments have to set goalposts for industry, or else nothing will change. Those posts can change position over time, but everyone needs a target. Think about smog reduction targets in the 80's. Have you recently driven behind a 70's era car? You can smell it half a mile behind. Imagine if every car on the road was…
Exactly. It’s a globally identifiable sound - inextricably linked to motor vehicles. Some variation of an ICE motor sound should be used. Doesn’t have to be loud, but should rise above ambient city noise. The sound must vary with speed as well.

That would be called Drive To Survive ;)
To be fair, the Waymo didn’t go berserk with road-rage and run down the swarm of offending dorks riding their unlicensed and uninsured unicycles down the middle of the roadway... A human may very well have.
Something’s not right here. Who picks up a brand new vehicle and stops to refuel/charge after 35 miles? If the vehicle wasn’t fully charged at delivery, then that’s a whole other story.
Brakes, engine parts, suspension... all likely available in the aftermarket, which should ease things.
I love WRC. The locale’s are beautiful, TV coverage is great, the cars are cool and the action pretty thrilling.
