Measure twice, cut once.

Half of the country can’t be wrong.

I expect these would have to come from an emerging market, like India.

If only there were some new vehicle choices like this in America. For anyone that lives in areas with actual forests, small light, affordable offroad trucks are the way to go.

Yes, for the big 3, you’re correct. But by effectively blocking imports of small trucks by over taxing them, there is little incentive for the Big 3 to make small trucks anymore. If consumers had affordable smaller trucks to choose from, they would sell. Maybe not in the millions like the full sizer’s, but Ford

I’m pretty sure the author(s) of that study have never actually driven a car on American city streets.

You could’ve just ended your sentence after Qdoba ;)

Its like some big revelation that there’s demand for affordable compact pickup trucks since the Maverick hit the market. There always has been.

You’re not wrong. And I was trolling a bit too.
However, I still think once the hysteria over electric pickup trucks wanes, reality will come crashing down on massive battery powered vehicles. Smaller, more efficient BEV definitely have a place on roads, but big pickup trucks, I’m not so sure.

If any effort to automate ‘trains’ of cars is to be made, lets start with real trains. If this crash in Ohio can still happen in 2023, there’s no chance ‘trains’ of automated cars will be a reality anytime soon.

Counterpoint. He is playing 3D chess and just trolled the Big 3.

It seems that Florida Man can show up anywhere....

For me, a deal killer is any mid-size Pickup truck with a short bed. The only option is the Tacoma with 6' bed (which I own). I want to carry my dirtbike with the tailgate up. I’d like to consider a better driving, more powerful option, but alas, no choices.

I need to write something here about dessert and consuming it as well....?

I used adaptive cruise on a Mazda and all is good until you catch up to a slower moving car. If it happens gradually, you’re all of a sudden dropped down to their speed and caught by everyone you passed to that point.

You folks are brave, admitting that you own Jukes, in a public forum.

Well reasoned post. Thank you.

Dumb, click-bait headline. But it worked ;)

You’re all missing the point.
The solutions are flying cars and hovercrafts.

I’d love to see the internal marketing brief to Porsche management that said there was demand for this.
