Seeing that EU may soon be fighting a war over Russian natural gas & oil supplies, it would behoove them to find alternatives too.
FREEDOM! (....from paying taxes that would cover quality municipal staff, rather than contracting bridge operations out to the lowest bidder).
But VW has no loyal truck owners in NA. Its a new segment for them. Like the Chrysler minivan, people won’t pay more for VW branded Ford truck unless its truly unique. And its highly unlikely that a VW pickup will be cheaper than a Ford.
Agreed. It doesn’t help that all Aston’s built in the last 20 years are hard to distinguish from one another (not counting the Cygnet), and also look like Jag F Types. They don’t seem to have enough performance, luxury or unique identity to justify their absurdly high prices. Mr. Stroll, your move.
We’re on our first BMW (4 year old X1 with low covid mileage) to complement our Miata and Tacoma ;)
Why choose a VW pickup over the Ford? There would have to be some really compelling differences between the two model ranges to make me go with ze Germans. And I like German cars.
But lots of racing vehicles are set up on the edge of stability if it provides better agility. The driver can weigh the pro/cons. Don’t they already run staggered tire sizes L-R?
Check out Baggers Racing League if you want to see unsuitable mass-market vehicles ‘racing’.
If that’s what it takes to turn left better, why not? That’s what the cars are designed to do.
Hear that?
How does he even fit in a Q3?

I’m thinking the legacy automakers are just giving up the small car market to imports. The next wave of affordable small cars will come from China and India, and will be sold direct through the web. When a wave of cheapo disposable electric cars hit the market, consumers will vote with their wallets.

Mag-lev train with a plane on the roof! I like it!
Ha, this reminds me of a Toyota dealer that said I needed Walnut blast service to fix rough running on a Tercel.
