“Cadillac would offer them $7500 off the MSRP of a 2020 model Escalade if they wanted to lease, or $10,000 off if they wanted to buy. Add on the current $9,000 rebate available to anyone, and you’ve got a mega price discount.”

But there can be overlap in pricing so why not get the ‘prestige’ brand for the same money you’d pay for a loaded volume brand? Plus, the MDX looks way better than the new Pilot.

Wow. If Japan would switch to Left hand drive, they’d have a much bigger global market for their used cars.

That would hamper aerodynamics. Small is where it’s at.

Put a generator in there, driven by the trailer wheels and you’ll have power forever as you drive. Perpetual motion machine! \S

But that’s my point. If they were inexpensive enough, you could re-wrap every 2-3 years even. Sure, not everyone would do it, but many could and would. I understand the cut patterns would have to be more simplistic, and be applied without removing lights, exterior trim etc. but with some creative designs, I can see it

Maybe the real solution is low cost vehicle wraps. What would be the magic price to entice a majority of owners? $500, $1000 extra ??

Ya, as anything on forums, they can go overboard, but it seemed to more than just a random occurrence. And these leaking issues are on post 2015 Sportwagens which was a generational change, was it not? I believe it’s to do with welds/seams under the seals, not between the glass and seal.

Thanks, Walrus. You made my points for me.
Oddseth is splitting hairs there.

So what’s your alternative? Other than an old BMW wagon.

Ok, two things.

Funny thing. People are not dogs, in case you haven’t noticed.

Bring back the manuals.

This is all great stuff. I’m watching my local Repo website for the right deal. Some of the cars are beaters and not surprising to see there, but I saw a 2020 Genesis G80 that was purchased in Oct. 2019, and Repo’d in Jan. 2020. WTF? If no payments had been made, other than maybe a deposit, I’m guessing the bank won’t

Ah yes, Aztec.

I disagree. You can test an AV for the real world in simulations. It just costs money and time. That’s why startup corporations will accept the cost of a few lawsuits rather than setting up proper test venues like the major car makers.

I realize that VW has trucks in other areas of the world.

“Ridgeline...which is sitting at what? Three, four percent of segment,” Well VW should know all about low single digit market share, in N.A. at least. Hell 4% is about double VW’s brand market share in the US.

How can you not have a photo of your own car? Especially one that you’re proud of!  Let’s see the real goods.

At first glance at the photo, I thought it was a new Tacoma! Looks sweet.
