I’ve always had the urge to buy a red Suburban and rebadge it as a Canyonero.

A lot of cars have two cats, one in/near the manifold, and one farther downstream. It looks like your Compass has two of them (but this might just be a 4x4 model thing). But it could also come down to engine bay packaging and heat management.

It also depends on if you can lane filter/split too. I can’t where I live, and if I could it would probably knock 5-10 minutes off my 35 minute, 60% freeway commute home by motorcycle.

Eh you might want to be careful saying that. The Oregon Governor’s race is looking like it could be a toss up thanks to a Moderate Democrat running as an Independent. FiveThirtyEight is predicting the Republican candidate is going to win with a 3% margin but only 37% of the vote.

Rivian made you realize building cars is hard? Have you ever seen how many recalls GM issues? Do you remember 2014 GM when they recalled 25 million vehicles across 50+ different recall issues? Sure not all of them were safety critical items, but a bunch of them were.

That’s a bit different though, because KFC is owned by Yum! Brands, which also owns Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and formerly owned A&W. So your analogy would be more like selling Porsche and Audi in the same building, not Porsche and Ferrari.

The max weight is still going to be 80,000lbs, just like a current diesel truck today. The additional batteries just take away from the possible cargo payload.

They already do similar-ish things like that today. California requires box trailers to have trailer fairings (the big panels under the trailer) if you are traveling in the state. It doesn’t matter where the trailer is registered or where you came from, if you are transiting in California, it’s required.

San Francisco to New York takes 3 nights, not days, 3 nights. Not many people can afford to add an entire week to their vacation.

Ahh I wasn’t aware of that! I’m glad to hear. I always thought it was a bit of a cop-out using totally different cars for different races.

They actually have completely separate cars for different styles of track. So they have a road course specific car, and I think they even have short track, speedway, and superspeedway cars.

I don’t know, the turn-out might surprise you. I went to the Xfinity NASCAR race at Portland International Raceway a few weeks ago (another city Fox news loves to shit on) and it was packed. The grandstands appeared to be sold-out and it was raining. Not too mention I only saw two LGB/FJB shirts.

They make $200K in revenue, but they have to cover all of their own expenses like truck, business, and health insurance, maintenance costs, tires, fuel etc, etc, etc. Employees don’t have to pay that out of pocket. There is literally an example at 11:30 in that John Oliver clip of a couple that made $150,000 in

Dude you need to keep up with the times. The current record holder at Pikes Peak is the VW ID.R, a 2,500lb electric race car.

Being a dentist I’m surprised he didn’t race for Mercedes. Every dentist I’ve met drives a Mercedes.

Oh yeah that’s just a rallycross rule. You have to run a factory hardtop on convertibles with SCCA Rallycross, but they don’t require a roll bar. But if you run an aftermarket hardtop, you are required to run a roll bar.

If the Bride doesn’t work out, then I’d take a hard look at an aluminum seat (Ultra Shield or Kirkey), and if you still don’t fit, then the floor pan drop may be the only way. This is the whole reason I sold my Miata (6'1" with a long torso) because I didn’t like the idea of making the car uncomfortable after 30 mins,

Especially with how many upper-middle class people are no longer commuting or maybe commuting half as much as before.

I’m wondering if they were military personnel coming back to the US after being stationed in Europe?

Let’s be honest here, no one wants to live in Philly.
