A lot of states will let you make UTVs road legal. Mahindra sells the Roxor as a UTV, so you just need to follow that path to being road legal.

In Europe, overall truck length is regulated. So the shorter you can make the truck, the more cargo you can carry. But Cab-over trucks are a pain in the ass to work as since you have to tilt the cab.

Australian Supercars runs on a bunch of street circuits and I’ve seen some pretty hard crashes and no problem with the walls. Current Aussie Supercars are only about 150lbs lighter than a NASCAR Cup Car.

Most of those old tracks also had no guardrail at the top of the banking. So if you messed up you went airborne, like this poor person at AVUS.

I recently visited neighboring Antigua, and while it’s bigger than Nevis, they too have a drag strip and a European style Rallycross course. I was amazed by the amount of modified Toyotas, Hondas, Evos and WRXs I saw around the island.

China uses a different GPS system than the rest of the world, so roads that connect in real life, appear not to when viewed on Maps, because everything is randomly offset in China. That’s why navigation won’t cross the border, even through you can navigate to either side of the border.

Any vehicle can make it. The road is totally paved now from Ulaanbataar to both the Russian and Chinese border. There is also a paved highway from Shanghai all the way to Kazakhstan. The road may not be the 405, but it is two lane highway. As long as it’s not snowing you should be fine.

I’m always skeptical of Musk, but you are acting like no one lives in Central Asia.

So why are you here commenting on an article instead of being out there helping them?

I’m going to echo the rally racing genre. Maybe also a fictional team racing the original Dakar?

Now playing

It’s only a short film, but here’s Richard Madden (Robb Stark in GoT) playing a fictional Group B rally driver.

I’ve heard X-ratty plenty of times, but this is a first for zer-at-ee.

Yes but those measurements are based on people going straight. Not turning through the intersection, which is what this guys argument is based on. His wife was turning during the yellow, and you are usually going a much slower speed when turning. So in that case, the yellow light is not long enough.

Generations are defined by the platform, not the styling.

It’s still wrong. Someone at BMW/Mini made a mistake. A 2019 JCW Countryman weighs 3600 lbs. I doubt they added 1000 lbs with that extra horsepower. That 4700 is the gross weight rating, which is the max weight with passengers and cargo.

Yeah that looks like Gross Weight. Edmunds lists a gross weight (total allowable weight with cargo and passengers) of 4321 lbs, and a curb weight of 3613 lbs for a 2019 JCW Countryman. I highly doubt they added 1000 lbs to the 2020 model.

I know Shaq did something like that with his cars. I remember him showing off his new Escalade and how he had a custom seat bracket made that pushed the seat back an extra 6 inches.

The problem with buying a Tacoma from the Northeast or Midwest is the chassis is guaranteed to be at least 80% rust by now. Unless it already had the frame replaced by Toyota, in which case it may only be 40%.

God dammit, stop with the safety and emissions equipment is making cars too expensive BULLSHIT!!! This is like the 4th time I’ve commented about this.

I think it’s more the broadcasts that make it not worth it. I was at the Austin race live, and there was a lot of exciting stuff happening mid-pack, but the announcers never seemed to mention it. Like Albon coming from last place to 5th? That was fucking awesome, yet no one was talking about it. Talked to my dad after
