That’s all they could do. They didn’t have characters, just barely-drawn sketches of characters, so the only way to get a laugh was through over the top mugging. Unfortunately, when everyone is mugging it just turns into an erratic mess.

That’s how I felt as well. Like if someone were to spend an equivalent amount of time hanging out with any of the stars doing nothing special it would be funnier than most of Ghostbusters.

All this did was remind me what a missed opportunity this movie was. So many funny people, so little funny.

This appears to be a very inefficient way to make a movie.

This is a bad opinion, and you should feel bad for holding it.

I gave it a good old unbiased try but was unable to finish watching the movie and it wasn’t because the lead characters were women (honestly this is a shoddy excuse to hate on the movie) but rather because I didn’t find it funny at all and to me it seemed that they were trying too much at being funny instead of

I read that, once upon a time, comedy movies had scripts instead of just a rough outline and then asking the actors to improvise all their lines.
