MAJOR negative to Gwen Ihnat for her comments about date rape. This was a textbook example of date rape. I suspect it's much more common than we think, and if women like Gwen continue to perpetuate the false narrative that rapes happen only in dark allies, it's part of the reason why so many women never report date

Addicts don't need excuses. They regularly invent them.

Thank you. That was my initial reaction too (see above).

Even in spite of it, their reactions didn't ring true. Yes, she may be an enabler or make his addiction worse, BUT Desi's the addict. He has so many insecurities that probably predate Marni. Wasn't he engaged like 12 different times? The counselor seemed to validate Desi's excuses which I found absurd. That's not what

She also seems like the type of woman that even if pregnancy and STD's were NEVER an issue, she would probably demand condoms because she finds semen "gross."

Because she has a way of "shutting things down." (rolls eyes)

Like in the pilot when Jessa gets her period while fooling around with guy in a bathroom just before she is scheduled to have an abortion.

Were they making a sight gag with Ullman's prominent nipples or was that a coincidence?

Like Super Nintendo Chalmers.

Kinda sort of Deadhead. Maybe what we used to call those Quaker Instant Deadheads – the kind that began popping up after Jerry's coma. Dude was listening to STUDIO UJB. That was from Workingman's Dead.

You mean the time he pulled out, started jacking it, and Natalia told him I don't like that (meaning don't cum on me) and he shoots his jizz on her.

I can see Chuck successfully getting Hannah to lay on the futon, BUT I don't understand her need to literally right next to him when there was much more space available.

A gold star for Red Oaks reference. I grew up in Bergen County, NJ and was 19 when the show was supposed to take place (1985).

Maybe a square guy like Pete's character who likely was a virgin before getting married and has probably never had another woman touch his junk before. Maybe the idea of a casual hookup turns him off. I don't know, but just because he rejects GG doesn't make him gay. It's not like he's blowing TJ or Artie…yet.

No, she WAS a successful attorney that gave up her career.

There is a certain casualness to the relationship between Madeline and Celeste. Take the first episode and the scene in the coffee shop where Madeline's legs are across Celeste's lap.

He's strange so far. The producers want to plant the seeds of doubt that he is indeed a sociopath, but you are probably right about him. He was very shy while Madeline's daughter was very mature and sociable.

At best, it's milquetoast comedy. Artie Lange was the best thing about the episode. Maybe if the entire series is him interacting on the sofa of a different comic each week, it might have some interest. It is also possible that this is a brilliant satire much like The Comeback.

I think you are conflating Madeline's daughter with Renata's daughter with the pretentious name and equally pretentious spelling.

According to frequent AV Club OP HBO CEO of Tits, the network used its quota of nudity in Crashing with the dong shot.
