This is true, especially since U-haul has to account for the lowest common denominator. But since all the trucks I’ve owned have had a controller. I suppose I’ve been spoiled a bit. Good trailers, but I prefer to not use the U-haul car hauler if I don’t have to.

Intesting, I’ve never ran into the issue with backing up, mostly because I try to avoid it if possible. But it does make sense that it could be an issue.

There is a lot to like about the U-haul trailer, but I still hate hauling with it. Maybe it’s because all I’ve had are poorly adjusted or worn trailers. But the braking system they use is a bit rough. There designed so that even vehicles without the electronics to use a trailer brake can still use the trailer. It does

Having owned cars with both types I prefer the door type. But both my current cars have them on the seat so clearly its not important enought to me to affect my buying decision.

This all sounds like something that can be done OTA. So why is it necessary to take your car into the dealer for two days? Is Porsche throwing a bone to the dealerships so they have something to do on an electric car and won’t feel left out?

I remember the days of the demoscene. So yeah, 8GB for one program feels glutinous. But I think this is less an issue with the software, though I’m sure the inefficiencies are still numerous. And more an issue with having to plan to create a sandbox for each and everyone of a users 50 tabs that never get closed on a

“Depends on your state. Many states like California define the left lane as a travel lane, not a passing lane, slow down.”

Not sure what you are talking about. Every warranty I’ve seen will no longer cover a system that is damaged by a user action and is not a manufacture defect. You take a Ford Raptor off a 20ft jump and crack the frame. It’s unlikely that you will get the frame replaced under warranty. You make modifications to a Tesla’s

I think that the headline misleads people in understanding what exactly is going on here. These people are hooking up an inverter to the cars 12v electrical system. This system pretty much exists to keep some of the electronic circuits energized before the car is turned on and the main contactor is engaged and

See, I find the issue people have with the location interesting. Sitting in the drivers seat the MPH, on the model 3/Y, sits in roughly the same visual location as the speedo my F150. Just past the upper right portion of the steering wheel. The distance my eyes had to travel from the road to the speed was actually a

Your response lines up pretty well with my own observations.

Are we not going to talk about that Watts to Freedom sound enhancement by Bose? Now I can get a guitar riff as I aggressively accelerate in my EV Hummer? I know it would be nice if electric motors had an inspired sound to them like gas motors do. But I’m not sure this is the way to go about it. It just feels wrong.

My grandpa took his 2017 Ford F-150 to get updated firmware for the transmission that was supposed to smooth out 2-1 gear downshift. While there, they sold him a $100 update to his navigation maps. And to build goodwill they made a big deal about installing it “free of charge”. It was an SD card you pop in.

“Sometimes I feel like automakers don’t actually want to innovate. Left to themselves, they’d just make the same old crap forever and ever, giving it an occasional spit-shine and selling it as new. What drives them to innovate are things like new regulations or new competitors. They’ll do what they need to survive,

I’ve wondered if was going to be an issue. But so far, at least, I haven’t heard about this becoming one. This is probably why, for the company’s that do OTAs they roll them out in stages. They can see if it is going to be a problem before it becomes a widespread issue.

Last year my grandfather went to the Ford dealer he has purchased his last 10 vehicles at. Since electric cars were becoming a thing he wanted to see if they had one. They took him to a Ford Focus Electric that they had in back. Been sitting there forever collecting dust. I had no idea Ford has been producing a full

OTAs are taking money out of dealership’s pockets. Having to bring your vehicle in to get new updates or feature improvements gives them the chance to sell you a new air filter and oil change along with it. It wouldn’t surprise me to see them fight back on this in some way.

I thought you were joking till I watched the video. But, yeah, hell on earth. How short does you attention span have to be for that to feel normal.

See, I don’t understand the business plan here. I thought the point of spending money to advertise was to increase brand recognition. How does Mission Winnow improve Malbro’s brand reconition? Just because they use red as a common color does that make people want a Malbro cigarette. The whole winnow thing is

Ha! You actually think he would have a secret moon lair?
