Unfortunately approximately 0% of car ECU manufacturers use Linux. Therefore you have to buy a tuner from a company which copies and sells the manufacturers coding.

I think the issue lies with the software you use to modify the ECU on a car. Generally you buy a tuner. In order to make a tuner, a company will have to copy and duplicate the ECU codes of whatever car the tuner is made for.
