I visit SA every day. Is not the website that was. People have mature, the culture have become somewhat woke. Is way less popular now, and way less alive, but is a good place to chat with other people.

Something Awful produced a wild amount of humor and culture for decades and had a massively outsized influence for a long time. It was a place where I learned a lot about writing, about politics and some other things.

No. But this os the games industry, it isn’t hard to find junior staff. It’s part of why you tend to make less working in it, despite high stress working conditions.

Pretty much this. Senior staff are much more valuable than junior staff so companies are willing to spend much more to retain them. Junior staff are sadly far more expendable.

Remember: This means the money was always there the entire time, they just only *now* felt the pressure to loosen the purse strings.

But they always could have. Any minute of any day of any year, they could have done this yet chose not to.  

Don’t be silly... the victims were forced out years ago and blackballed in much of the industry. 

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

So all the people who turned a blind eye to years of sexism and sexual harassment get a big pay raise, and the victims get a tiny one. Yeah, that’ll help morale.
