Ooh, I dunno about that. I think Camille absolutely knew, and just mentally compartmentalized it. And I have a hard time believing that Weinstein’s wife didn’t know, either. In both cases, it was just too much of an open secret.

I don’t understand why people do this. Who cares if he wasn’t an abusive asshole towards you? He obviously was towards another person or else the company wouldn’t have paid her $9.5 million. Just because he was nice to you doesn’t mean he’s a good person. 

Yep. Knew a guy at uni. Bit odd but was friendly enough, technically gifted, and clearly an ideas guy who wanted to go into politics.

Niche knowledge: when he (30ish) and Jessica Alba (teenish) were in Dark Angel together they were ENGAGED. He has no sense of decency.

I went to high school with a very sweet man who was active in the performing arts. We weren’t super close, but we remained friendly acquaintances for the next several decades. He went on to become an elementary school teacher. He and his husband abruptly had a murder-suicide several years ago.

This is what I just don't get. This is pretty much the same as the tactic of "here's sworn statements of 65 girls I knew in high school that I DIDN'T assault! So.....YEAH!" Great?

Can’t we just retire the practice of public announcements of how great a guy is? Like, I’m sure they all mean it, or maybe they don’t, but it doesn’t have any fucking bearing on how a guy behaved toward a particular person in a situtation that they weren’t there for.

When will people realize that just because someone is nice to you doesn’t make them an all round good person? People are fucking complex. You were not there. Shut the fuck up.

None of these people (Perrette, Alexander, Weatherly) is currently on NCIS, though. And neither woman is on Weatherly’s current show Bull.
