Dang! Every time I think I'm out, they pull me back in…

My older bro's strategy has been 3DS gaming. Just like @DrFlimFlam:disqus said, allows for quick switching to / switching away from games. Plus! Easier to play with fewer hands (though it still requires a minimum of one hand).

How is the board game version of Spaceteam? Does it approach the light-speed wackiness of the original?

As per usual, I'm sure this weekend holds Destiny in store for me. I'll do my best to resist playing Iron Banner, but it will no doubt be in vain. I am still enjoying the update! My hunter is sitting at LL 307, so I think it unblocked me from the 290-300 doldrums that were common pre-update.

Happy borthday!

Recently attended a showing of The Last Dragon, an R&B, kung-fu, blaxploitation film that was produced by the head of Motown Records at the time. (Thank you, Seattle International Film Festival, for giving me such an opportunity.) It was delightfully bad, and the crowd reaction made it a true experience.

I've been loving Destiny lately, including the new update! I'm pleased that the community seems to be way less salty about everything, even if I can't quite figure out why, based on how relatively small the update was.

Elsie & I finally made it to new territory in The Walking Dead, S1! Previously, we had a save-deleting glitch that wiped us completely after we'd made it partway through Episode 3. So we've since completed Episode 3, got that train up & running, and started to dig into Episode 4.

Joined! I had put in for the AV Club Clan before, but this will be great. I've been jonesing for Trials or a raid or some such.

I played it once in its entirety on a cross-country flight from Seattle to NYC. Felt like the quickest flight I've ever taken!

I also 100%'d Far Cry, but even somehow that grind (which, make no mistake, was pointless in FC3) felt even more pointless in FC4. There were a lot of elements, including the randomness of environmental assaults, that seemed to serve mostly to frustrate the player & foil whatever plans the player thought they had,

Man, I was so close to swearing it off tonight & now you're tempting me again…

Holy cow, it takes a lot of time to grind to rank 5 in Iron Banner. I must have spent 3-4 hours in one sitting just going from level 1 to level 3, I got my 310 class-specific item, & I was ready to be done. On the plus side, I've gotten really good at Control, even being relatively under-lighted for IB!

All aboard the… graiaiaiaveeee train… tooot toooooooot

As usual: the games will be Elsie's continued journey through the wasteland in Fallout 4 (she has taken a new robot companion, courtesy of the Automatron DLC) and dipping my toe into the first terrifying waters of Destiny's Iron Banner Mode (as I'm currently thrashing about at light level 290 and need some more

I'm gonna make my first foray into the Iron Banana this weekend, I think. How vicious is it compared to regular Crucible matches?

Watch out for that one windy hill road with nowhere to turn around. That got me every time. Stuck on that thing for hours.

Not to mention the bending over backwards that he does to retcon his own past musical tastes. Just be honest with yourself! It's okay to have liked something you don't like anymore, but he's acting like he didn't enjoy DMB at the time or like he was an idiot for finding something that brought him genuine happiness.

Are you a fan of dragging / throwing things in video games, in general? One of my sillier, more favorite pastimes in games like Far Cry or Skyrim is to pile up the bodies of all my victims - most games have a very satisfying "thunk" sound as a result of body-on-body contact.

Forget the Meat Circus. That level was garbage. Although it really does give you the feeling that you accomplished something once you beat it!
