“Sufficiently advanced science, bitch!!!”

So that's it, huh? We're some kind of dune squad?

Means I should read Dune Messiah again

At least, there won’t be any need to adapt God Emperor of Dune, given that five-hour-long rambling monologues from a giant worm with a human face who rules the universe already exists in the form of Donald Trump’s phone calls to Fox and Friends.

Saw Pt. 2 last night and I’ve never read the books. I enjoyed it immensely, but a lot of character development and motivations were unclear. I guess Paul is sorta breaking bad? But why? Because he has to? It’s not really clear only within the confines of the film.

Nostalgia Critic is what it made me think of too, I just didn't think many people would get that touchstone.

Disgusting. Jon Stewart didn’t even fix every problem with America in this 20 minute comedy show. And he didn’t spend it earnestly staring into the camera and saying “Trump is not normal!” ad nauseam. Both-sidesing piece of shit, I hope he dies.

Just thought I’d get that comment out of the way ASAP.

I guess opinions vary on how clever it is; I find it too inelegant to get the job done. Part of that might be that where I’m from “dune” is pronounced kinda like “d-yoon”, and I think the pun only works to the extent it does if you pronounce it as “doon”.

Do you think when you have lunch with Daniel Day-Lewis, he’s normal-ish?  Or is he as up his own ass about, say, ordering a panini as he is about acting?

He answers to the homophone, because he’s now hefting amps and drums for Dysfunctional, LA’s premier Dokken cover band.

Lol, if that shit didn’t work for Wesley Snipes, why would he think it would work for him?

I miss Atlantis. It was the most fun of the Stargate series

Probably all the stuff that reminds you of BSG. All the sci-fi pseudo-military stuff mostly. But I grew up on ST, so that is where my mind goes. Also, the “lost in space, trying to get back to Earth” aspect reminds me of Voyager, too.

I can see that, but it always makes me think of Star Trek: Enterprise.

For what its worth, I’m with you about SG-1. That show was great. I think the big problem is the studio went so big so quickly that it really doesn’t have anywhere else to go other than to just reboot everything.

Uh, Brandon Lee. Jason Lee is different guy and very much alive.

Yeah I don’t get how the franchise was allowed to lapse. The RPG based on the series is good from Wyvern Games. But cancelling Universe after only 2 seasons was a mistake and then just not doing anything with it is weird.

a true mistake

On a different note, you inadvertently spurred me down a rabbithole, and this article is fucking wild, considering the players today.

Sorta like Momoa? Ever seen him in Stargate Atlantis or Conan the Barbarian?
