Based on the kind of shit Cameron put everyone through, I'm guessing chopping out a kidney might've been less dangerous than being in that movie.

Hate to say it considering how much I love Jon Stewart, but I'm kinda tired of him and other Mets fans talking about how much they've suffered. They've won two World Series and been to three others; compare that to their expansion counterparts in Houston, who were swept in their only WS appearance. Even the Mets'…
OK, but I think the people are partly to blame too for watching all this stuff. I mean, the media does what it does because we watch it.
That's why I think the idea that Americans want a third party isn't really true. It sounds great in an abstract, "Anything's gotta be better than the two parties we have" way, but in reality people's disagreements on the issues would probably prevent any one third party from challenging the major two.
I think people often romanticize the goodness of people who aren't in power. The fact that power corrupts combined with basic human fallibility makes it so that even decent people who gain power are going to make some bad decisions, or at least decisions that their supporters oppose. It's easy to imagine that people…
Mayim Bialik is the Green Party nominee for President?
It's The NeverTrumping Story!
I know that the "bulging disc" joke was based on this:
I think blaming the media for Trump is kinda misguided. If the media had spent more time confronting his BS, would that really have convinced any of his supporters? Often, debunking people's beliefs only makes them stronger, especially in a case like this where his supporters believe the "elites" are against them.
There'll never be another Jon, but I like what Trevor's doing and think the idea that he doesn't care enough is unfair. Based on this interview I think it seems like he cares quite a bit; he even talked about how he thinks the show can help bring social change(with limits, of course).
Well, people always say every election is the most important one ever. People have short memories.
"The clown can stay, but the Ferengi in the gorilla suit has to go."
Funny how people like Jones are still predicting Obama will do all the terrible things they said he would do when he became President even though he's had 7.5 years to do it already.
I think his Robin Williams is absolutely uncanny.
I read that she based it on the relationship between her first husband and his father.
Yeah, I think it's fairly impressive for a rich kid to make it in comedy because a rich upbringing doesn't really create the right life perspective for being a comedian.
I think Cameron gets a bit of a bad rap for his screenwriting. Your mileage may vary on his other movies, but I think Aliens showed he's very capable of writing good dialogue and characters.
"Alien looks like it was made last year"
The "(famous director) is making a (recent news story) movie" template proves to be a time-saver once again.
After the NYT's Gail Collins bashed Trump when he was talking about running for president in 2011, Trump's predictably nasty response included this passage:
