OK, I find his views kind of obnoxious(once I read him blame "radical secularism" for Nazism and communism), but people can have appalling views and still be good people. Would you prefer a nice person with views you find repulsive or an asshole with views you agree with?

I don't think he was ever a partisan liberal, but I don't think he was particularly kind to conservatives either. I'd say he was a moderate liberal or libertarian with some conservative beliefs.

Has Mike done anything wrong other than having overly conservative views?

I haven't followed Dennis Miller in years, but having watched his Weekend Updates and HBO specials, and read his rants books(I was too young to follow him back then), I think he was really funny. Sure, he was smug, but he could also make fun of himself or make his smugness part of the humor.

I think a lot of the time we overestimate the moral difference between "the elites" and "the people." For one thing, we the people vote these assholes into office, so what's our excuse?

It was bad enough when people tried to pass off Dubya as one of us because he don't use them fancy big words, but Trump has spent his entire public life showing off how superior he is to us regular folk who don't have our names on buildings.
