Please be healthy next year Brantley. Please stay on the bench next year Yan Gomes.

He has such a reputation with kicking people because he actually kicks people...

Exactly. If my “instinct” every time someone taps my shoulder is to turn around and punch that person, it’s still assault.

It’s a sadistic ritual and excuse to down strong bloody marys on a Sunday afternoon.

I mean, our o-line sucks without a doubt, but there were several sacks where Kessler had all kinds of time but kept looking around pumpfaking everywhere until the rush got to him. It was a team effort of sadness between incompetent QB, O-line and receivers.

To be fair, a number of those sacks today were a result of either 1. Kessler making reads at a Weeden-esque speed, 2. our receivers inability to get open (looking at you Corey Coleman), 3. Josh McCown doing McCown things and thinking he’s 25 dancing around the pocket, or likely, a strong mix of the three.

I’ve seen a number of games over there including Liverpool-United at night and sat in away ends, and haven’t seen any violence anywhere. I’ve seen some obnoxious away teenagers get kicked out of pubs and plenty of bantz, and there are obviously going to be isolated incidents, but I would consider it a far cry from a

Well the difference between Leppings Lane at Hillsborough and a safe standing section is as follows, and really makes the comparison worthless:

The saving grace for Kluber is he potentially would only need to survive one time through the order or a bit more before turning it over to Shaw/Miller/Allen.

Especially considering Tomlin’s success I would’ve liked to have seen Merritt get the call and keep Salazar/Bauer around at any signs of trouble. Bauer complemented the Cubs lineup well; poor control at times and too much confidence in a fastball that he leaves out over the plate way too often.

There isn’t a manager in baseball as important to his team’s success as Tito. That being said, I really wish he wouldn’t have thrown Bauer last night. It’s a problem when 3 runs in 4 innings is basically the expected outcome.

Not unlike about every album his band has produced in the last 20 years

Allen and Shaw are far apart for me. Shaw is the Joe Borowski of this bullpen; generally reliable but always feels like he’s a few nibbling fastballs away from implosion.

To be fair, Jose’s defensive metrics are what’s especially working against his WAR. He’s entered the DH phase of his career, but their outfield options seem pretty limited. Michael Saunders’ defensive numbers are similar but I don’t see how he couldn’t be a better option in right.

While that may or may not be true, there have been plenty of pitches well inside the outside corner that the Jays players continually whine about when they watch them go past. Their big hitters just look frustrated that they’ve been scouted and gameplanned against well and aren’t getting anything meaty to hit on the

Looks like one of the circumstances that might be hurting the Jays this year is Joey playing everyday and batting cleanup

What an incredible moment, and if Bartolo happened to groove that for him, well that just reaffirms his status as the Champion of Everything.

One funny observation I’ve made through this whole thing is that, excluding the few who have actually served and seem upset by Kaepernick, most of the people I see pouting about him not “supporting” the troops/veterans/fake patriotism are the people whom I suspect do the least material or meaningful supporting of
