Where was she demonizing strippers? Sounded like she had a problem with what some of them have to wear more than the actual people themselves. Like if I crack on how stupid fast food service uniforms look, doesn’t mean I’m demonizing the workers themselves.

They are probably going to do a lot more of these shots of babes in the bleachers to get people talking about baseball again (in any capacity).

Agreed. But I am so tired of this....

Comment-stalking? Side-talk? Saturday Night Social is an open blog where discussion is built upon what has been stated by other commenters. I’m sorry you feel like some kind of victim here. Goodness. Good luck.

Nowhere in my responses to you did I defend the child’s behavior - harming an animal is obviously concerning behavior (any freshman psychology student knows that...). I’ve advised the OP to talk to her pediatrician and the child’s therapist about it, as it is important.

As I’ve said before, parents do not respond well to condescending and accusatory tones and using them is utterly unhelpful. Parents will get defensive and they will not heed your advice, to the ultimate detriment of the child.

Fat and poorly groomed. Such a shame.

Bring up the ‘fish issue’ with the therapist and let her pediatrician know the next time you have a visit. It’s good for them to keep a history of any usual events, as it can help them to identify any problematic patterns early on (which you can work on and resolve before they become more serious). Any type of abuse

Offering advice to parents in a positive and non-judgmental tone is more constructive than in a condescending or accusatory tone, as some parents become defensive of their kids and then don’t want to acknowledge problems or seek help. But you’d know that as an “educator” right?

Lol. Awwww, no need to apologize. :)

Oh. I meant “opening yourself up to questioning by strangers”. I should have been more articulate. I don’t think I’d be able to do what these women are doing.

Not only is the implication insulting, but do they really think kids are going to abstain based on the presence of a poster in the hallway?

“Tied-To-The-Railroad-Awaiting-Your-Rescue”

I’m confused. Are you joking?

That could have been ANY of my students. Man, they have zero problem interrupting adults. Got to love the egocentric pre-teen years.

You’re awesome (like Cassandra) for opening yourself up and answering questions about this condition. Thank you. :)

Lol. I was looking through the comments to see if anyone else felt this way! I thought it was an oddly relaxed father-daughter picture and then I read the title and got very confused.

She put ketchup in everything.

I think they wanted legit criticism so they could improve their paper... and hopefully submit it to a better journal.

probably Jez - hate-commenting gets them hits.
