They’re not so bad, I’ve seen worst quests. They were designed to troll people.

The AOE lightning will test your reflexes. I’ve seen it kill multiple people with one strike.
There’s always a worst player than you. Once people learn to accept quest failure and be more open minded to people carting, they’ll have a better experience online.
The SOS system in the story campaign is similar to the Dark Souls summoning mechanic. FYI, boss health pools are either scaled for 1 player or 4 players, there’s no in between. Playing with only 2 players might seem like a handicap.
Some weapons are really ideal for solo play too. Having the monster turn in random directions and charge off is so damn frustrating with people running around.
From my experience, my solo kill times are around the same for regular and tempered monsters. I’ve been told they have the same health.
I’ll always solo tempered investigations with 3 or 4 reward slots. I just can’t risk it with SOS.
I learned to play MH on my own mainly because MH Freedom Unite never had built in online multiplayer capability. Those were some of the most frustrating and gratifying times in all of my gaming experience.
I picked up the first game for $5, and did a full playthrough. I totally regret not playing up the game sooner. The second game is a smoother experience and I can’t wait to try out first person mode.
TACTICAL RETREAT!
I love Jean d’Arc!
I played FF9 and FF Tactics on my Vita. It was an awesome Patapon device though.
The parry health regen mechanic is pretty amazing.
Everybody wanted the console like graphics of the Vita, but the games didn’t quite deliver the same experience. At the end of the day, I prefer quality games (Zelda ALBW, Fire Emblem, MH) over good graphics.
It was so worth it!
I have a giant box of PS3 games that I never finished. I just regret buying most of those games at launch prices.
The PSTV ended up being half assed and liquidated by every retailer. A lot of JRPG ports could have had a second life on the Vita.
My 3DS is always in my bag, it’s been one of the best handhelds besides the DS.
Pretty good analogy, but I haven’t touched my Vita in like 3 years.
RIP Persona 4 Golden and Spelunky handheld device. Your lack of support and expensive memory cards was the nail in the coffin.
