The game shines when you completely dismiss the thought of goals and objectives, and truly embrace the idea of being an explorer. I left my first planet quickly, because I wanted to see at least two of them before my Steam refund window ran out. And I haven’t left that second planet since then. I’ve even exploring

I have read people who are excited about building bases on planets and stuff and I’m like...the devs have never said there would be base building in this game. People have literally invented features the devs never once said would be in the game.

Why in the world would someone pay $1,300 for a leaked copy of a game off eBay when the game comes out in a week? I’m not a space sim type person and am not particularly interested in the game but lets be honest.

Low expectations mean nothing can disappoint you and anything could delight you. I can dig it.

That sub has been a cesspit of fan-wankery conjecture from the day it was birthed. I think I unsubbed within a week of joining due to the delusional mindset those users have.

My favorite part is that both sides of the conspiracy are being complete and total asshats.

I remember the goal of Spore was to reach the center of the Galaxy... But really the goal was to have a good time. I’m never chasing the center of the Galaxy again. You have to stop and smell the roses.

With a game like this, no one’s experience is going to be the same. For me, I am going to take my time and explore. I am buying the game, to enjoy a slow paced, space exploration game. I am going to take my time and visit as many planets as I can; explore this vast universe. My expectations are this:

A lot of people wrongfully thought the game was going to be some kind of Star citizen, or an ultimate space sim. It was advertised like an AAA game, and teased a lot, which probably confused some people. People forgot that it is primarly an exploration game, an indie game, where you basically walk and fly around, and
