Do they do these interviews at 3 am? 'Cause Affleck looks like he just got out of bed. Or is he coming off a 3-night bender?

My re-watch of the '80s continued last night with "Fright Night". Cool visuals and Roddy McDowell is great as late night horror host/vampire killer Peter Vincent. Started to see more of the gay subtext this time. Not that there is anything wrong with that!
Might have to rewatch this one tonite with Mrs. Dingleberry. Hopefully it will put a stop to all the reno plans rolling around in that pretty little head of hers that we cannot afford.
Fixed it. Thanks for the heads up.
Watched Dune again (after about 20 years) and for most of it I couldn't understand what the fuck was going on. Somewhere in a dusty basement at Universal is a box marked "unused Dune footage (1984)." So many characters pop in, ramble some gibberish, and are never seen again.
I am thankful that this tanked, though. If…
"Short Cuts" is great as well.
Bill Paxton, actually. Just sayin'.
My re-watch of movies from the late 80s/early 90s continued with Jacob's Ladder. Mrs. Dingleberry hadn't seen it, so she had no idea what to expect. The shifting between timelines was a bit jarring for her, but she did enjoy it quite a bit. Awesome performance from Tim Robbins and especially Elizabeth Pena. Grade: B
Perusing thru the Wikipedia entry on Indiana Jones (the character), I noticed they have an unknown daughter listed as offspring in addition to Mutt Williams. Is this fanfiction or part of the Indy canon? If it is part of Indy history, then I can totally see them going with that in the final script. It worked with TFA,…
Better get John Williams working on that new Indy music. Dude will be in his late '80s by the time they crank this out in 2020.
If you had read the whole Wikipedia article that I did, it said the film was shown on TV in 65 and 1974. The film was then not generally available until the VHS release in 1988, which they talked about in the interview I mentioned.
There was an interview with Sinatra and John Frankenheimer years ago in which they dealt with the fact the film wasn't available for decades following JFK's assassination.
Marco: It was a nightmare. A real swinger of a nightmare.
People can be so stupid when they get greedy. If they had waited six months after her death, issued the order quietly, people more than likely wouldn't have made such a fuss. Not that I am defending the order to discontinue the cheaper edition. Greedy fuckers.
So, we are just forgetting about the other 3 movies in the series then? Why wouldn't they just use scenes from the 2006 remake? The timelines would make a bit more sense. Oh right…it sucked. And no one remembers a single fucking thing about it.
When was the last time anyone took Charlie Sheen seriously in a straight dramatic role? Wall Street? The Arrival? He is fucking joke now and he is obviously trying to rehab his reputation post HIV reveal.
I remember being disappointed that Madeline Stowe wasn't in the sequel, but her uncredited cameo to explain her absence was ok I guess. The movie was shit so I guess she chose wisely.
And in retrospect, if she has a bigger part in Another Stakeout..she probably doesn't do either Mohicans, Short Cuts or Blink. Those…
Motoring thru Season 2 of House of Cards. The "conclusion" of the Zoe Barnes/Lucas Goodwin story (for now?) was probably a good thing.
This is effectively the last gasp for both Seagal and Gary Busey. One went way up his own ass trying to direct On Deadly Ground….the other went fucking crazy.
Late to the party (as always), picked up House of Cards: Season 1. Kevin Spacey plays smug prick better than anyone so I am willing to stick it out to see what happens.
