Is that good or bad?

I remember first watching it when I was 11. Nightmares for days afterwards. I think it was my naivete and the creepy sing-songy score. And the 'pig thing' in the kid's window.

Yep. She never looked sexier than she did here. Should have had a more successful career, but mental illness is a bitch no matter how successful or famous you are.

Moviewise: Halloween marathon of late 70s horror/sci-fi with Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Managed to squeeze it in between trick or treaters but missed the last 20 mins (and that great final shot) when the wee ones came home. Underated, but still great Halloween III. Took some huge balls by Carpenter and company to

So…basically the basement at Harry Knowles' house?

So…this sounds like a witch version of the Fred Ward gumshoe movie 'Cast a Deadly Spell' from the '90s where magic was real.

No one outside of geek culture will ever go see this if they keep that title. Awful.

A bit of the way thru Walter Issacson's Steve Jobs biography. Geez, what an asshole he was. For someone who was a devotee of the Zen/Buddhist philosophy, he certainly treated other people like shit. And despite his rigid vegetarian/fruitarian diet, he still got cancer. Karma IS a bitch I guess.

When I was a kid, my friends and I used to explore an abandoned and not finished apartment building. Always managed to find a moldy back issue of Playboy or Penthouse amongst the rubble. Good times.

Not much pop culture here. Picked up the Godfather Restoration set on DVD. Watched my beloved Blue Jays implode while getting questionable umpiring in the first two games of the ALDS. Hopped on Twitter but trying not to get over-welmed with the banality of the whole enterprise. On it mainly for election prep. Gotta

I thought for sure that train was headed for that slaughterhouse. All those happy people being sent off to their doom. A little "Schindler's List" misdirection there.

I agree completely.

Finally caught up with Francis Coppola's Rumble Fish. Been wanting to see it for a long time, mainly for that awesome cast. Strange seeing Mickey Rourke not look like his face was hit by a bus. Can understand why women were so gaga over him in the 80s.

…(crickets)..

Anyone smell (errr…see) Harry Knowles scooting around Fantastic Fest?

Had a little 'Glen Gary GlenRoss in Germany' thing going on in that radio sales office. And it wouldn't have surprised me at all if the Nazi in the restaurant ended up being Hitler himself, so I am glad they didn't go there.

Managed to catch the first 'Dirty Harry' film last night. Can see the influence this had on popular culture with stuff like Lethal Weapon and the rogue cop genre. Really could not see past the fact that his rookie partner was Poppie on Seinfeld. Took me out of the film for a bit.

A good chunk of the weekend revolved around watching the Blue Jays destroy the Yankees. The crowd at the last game of the doubleheader was an embarrassment to the Yankees organization and baseball in general. Went to a BBQ next door and spent the whole time lusting after my neighbour's gorgeous wife. When Mrs.

Fuck that. Too long an article to read about nerds and toys.

I think she looks older in the Strain than her actual age of 45. Makeup maybe?
