Time to hoard some boxes of this shit and sell it on Ebay when the inventory of the old formula starts to dwindle next year. Ka-ching!

I honestly thought he was a last minute contestant they pulled out of the studio audience. Looked like he wanted to be somewhere else much of the time.

Finished reading Gone Girl. Good stuff. And I am aware of the comparison to the movie, which I have not yet seen. Sometime this week. Also caught a good chunk of Francis Coppola's The Rain People on TCM.

After doing the Autism Awareness Day stuff this week, the wife and I caught up with "Magic Mike.". OK I guess. For the sequel Magic Mike XXL, are they gonna ret-conn the whole thing? Because apparently MM, Alex Pettyfer and Cody Horn are not in it.

That has already been taken care of, my friend.

Looking forward to September when my youngest child goes to Kindergarten. I work nights so hopefully I can squeeze a 3 hour nap in before lunch, catch an episode (or 2) of something I have been waiting to see. I guess I can also use my extra time to fuck some soccer moms. Such potential.

Trying to catch up with Criminal Minds. Watched regularly for a long time but tuned out after Paget Brewster left. A&E runs them during the day but not something you watch with a curious 3-year-old in the room.

After a long March Break spent watching my 2 kids, tried to restart reading Gone Girl. Didn't get very far.
Currently also dealing with the final clean-out/reno of my childhood home. Preparing for sale in the spring hopefully. 40+ years of stuff to go thru.

Reading Craig Ferguson's autobiography "American on Purpose". Great read. Had no idea his past was so troubled with booze and drugs. Was actually in a band with future Doctor Who Peter Capaldi. Funniest story so far: playing the same venue with early U2. "They seemed like nice fellows and sounded pretty good, but we

I marched in a drum corps in the '80s. I had a drumstick thrown at me for screwing up a part. Hit me square in the back. I picked it up, put in my mouth and dropped it at his feet. I was 14. He didn't last much past that after he tried to strangle one of the parent volunteers. Good times.

Finally saw Whiplash. As a former drummer, I can relate to some of the tactics Fletcher used to inspire greatness from his players. Although, he never would have been able to treat people like he did for very long. People do talk, and the administration would have known quickly that he was a monster. Great music too!

I think Mrs. Wolowitz's death has forced the writers to re-jigg some of the plots this season. The whole magazine article thing may have been part of a larger stand alone episode that got cut down with Howard dealing with his Mom's death before the season ends.

Saw 50 Shades of Grey. Ugh. For all the hoopla, so uninspired. Looks like E.L. James saw Sliver one too many times. Remove murder mystery, and replace voyeurism with BDSM. Don't know how this story can be stretched out for 4 more hours.

What happened to Jennifer Rubin?

I think Cronenberg is the bizarro world version of Woody Allen. People want to act in his movies for next to nothing. Made on reasonable budgets. Some make money, some don't. Both have had a remarkable run since the 70s.

Saw the first episode of season 1 ( or season 2 depending on who you ask) of Aint it Cool With Harry Knowles. Meh. At least the interview with Danny Boyle was interesting. No way this show cost 128, 000 dollars though.

Time for the Wachowski's to take a break from the world of science fiction. Smaller stuff like 'Bound'.

The title might have been the problem. Too bland. May have unconsciously reminded people of 'John Carter.'

Finally reading A.J. Jacobs' "The Know-it-All"(2003). I had read his book "The Year of Living Biblically" and found it fascinating. He tries to read the entire 32 volumes of the Encyclopedia Brittanica cover to cover. Insane.

Caught the last 20 minutes of the original Karate Kid. Still holds up as a teen version of Rocky. Love Elizabeth Shue and disappointed they dumped her character so quickly in the sequel.
