I miss the translation “style” of 90s JRPGs. It wasn’t great, but the dialogues never really aspired to that. Games like Octopath and Bravely Default before it seem to be aiming for that specific kind of anime fan, as a demographic. What amazes me is that it requires a very decent-sized (for a small production like this) crew to produce a video like this, and that nobody on that crew took a minute to pause and think about whether this is ultimately a fucking terrible idea.

Yeah, no shit. My partner and I rarely venture out for shows and I thought this might be a nice occasion to go to SF for a day. But wasting half a day driving just for the tickets isn’t really worth it.
