My current job involves working a lot on the inclusion/diversity initiatives of my company, hence I think it’s great to see someone so very much in the public eye take these kinds of steps. I don’t envy the treatment she’ll receive - a cursory look at the comment thread when Rachel Nichols posted this on her Facebook

At first I did not like the look of Caitlyn, preferring Katelynn, but I have to give cudos for avoiding another “K” name.

Honestly, this feels a lot like punishment. I’m not saying that that’s what the police as an organization overtly set out to do but the lack of police presence is basically sending the message that if the police aren’t able to police the way they want to, then everyone suffers. The people who feel it the most are the

It’s not analogous, nor is it some sort of zero-sum game. Criminals are going to do criminal stuff, and that’s certainly not OK. But cops shouldn’t be allowed to take the stance that making them follow the rules somehow makes them less effective as cops. If you can’t hold yourself to a higher standard, then don’t

Difference is, the cops are abdicating their responsibility to follow their training, be competent and protect people. It’s basically an institutional version of ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well, for starters, the bangers killing people in Baltimore and other cities aren’t paid by the taxpayers to keep the peace/enforce the law/not beat the everloving shit out of people.

Remember all those people (many of them cops and/or habitual cop fellators) who said, “If you don’t want to get harassed by the cops, just don’t be a criminal”? How’s that logic working for you now, officer?

Cops don’t get shit on for being cops, they get shit on for threatening false arrest, beating up citizens, killing unarmed people and generally being the rudest people you’ll meet in your life.

They never would have been charged if, you know, the suspect didn’t end up dead. Besides, that’s only “reasonable suspicion” - that allows them to stop him and search, not necessarily arrest. And he didn’t have anything illegal when they searched him. Hence, it’s an illegal arrest.

Yeah. I don’t get the complaints. The citizens are merely asking the cops to DO THEIR FUCKING JOBS and protect the population. No one is asking them to walk around on egg-shells. They’re bitching because they’ve developed a culture predicated on the de-basement and unilateral violence of young black men who can be

They are more afraid of going to jail for doing their jobs properly than they are of getting shot on duty.

Chrissamighty, it can’t be that hard for Baltimore to actually pay its cops, can it?

Right now they can go to jail for following Supreme Court decisions such as Illinois v. Wardlow. The Baltimore States Attorney’s Office essentially overturned the Supreme Court’s decision.

I know “the kids” may not care about this guy, but Bob Ley is fucking great.

So you’re implying that the US Senate’s election are as equally fucked up as FIFA’s. I don’t disagree, I just think before everyone screams about how Palau carries the same clout as Germany in FIFA...Alaska carries as much as California, or Wyoming as much as New York in the US Senate.

I can't see any way to relieve the pressure on Blatter unless he goes.

FIFA is proof that there is no length rich old men will go to get even richer.

I agree. This sports baby has the competitive fire inside and killer instinct to take down all other sports babies. Her curtain game is just too strong for most other babies. And don’t get me started on her ice cold mic skills.

I still don’t understand why this is an issue. Are some people still expecting a post game interview that doesn’t have the same fucking boring questions with the same boring answers?

Cocaine is awful. All it does is bring out everyone’s inner asshole while simultaneously making them think they are super-interesting. It’s the worst.
