Marlo running those kids off the corner and looking down and kinda going, "huh, a bullet grazed me. Whatever." is just phenomenal. Season 5 is easily the weakest, but its best moments are as good as any other season.

All of the newspaper characters/scenes are terrible except Gus.
Some other guy, in one of those end-of-episode showdowns against Phan, had one of the best bits I've ever seen. Something about his car being so broke down that it slowed down when he turned on the radio. He got pulled over and tried to make a run for it, and the cop caught him a mile down the road and needed a ride…
I'm not sure that Skippy Dies counts, but it's a fantastic novel.
That was a great moment for Rawls, and I liked when he tried to become commissioner that his pitch was pretty much exactly what the department needed (more effort into big cases, etc). And then he gets shot down and goes back to being Rawls.
This some shameless shit!
Chase sucks at first and really takes off at the end of season 3.
This wasn't that bad an episode. Even though the plot was kinda silly, I never found myself minding that I was watching it. Laurie really does sell that "you just got stabbed" line. That's my 2nd favorite moment of the season, behind the garage door separating House and Wilson's offices.
Thirty seconds ago I was wondering how someone could possibly not know that Lucille was Malory, and now I feel like an idiot. I've only seen PCU like 15 times.
I liked 5 more than most people. Even 6 had interesting moments / plot points, at east at times. 7… the best moments of season 7 had me telling myself that the show was better than I expected.
If there's listing to be done…
See, the old stuff is probably my favorite. Specifically Cherry Peel, but there's a lot of good back there. But I can get really into poppy and light, so I understand what you mean.
I haven't listened to it yet, so maybe Pitchfork's right.
That might be my favorite moment in this entire show.
The Late Phillip J. Fry is my alltime favorite. Which means I suck or something.
Agreed, somehow. It was kinda funny, and a semi-competent fantasy movie. And it's not like there are any good fantasy movies that aren't huge epic things like Lord of the Rings. So a fantasy movie that sets the bar low is kind of doomed, and this was entertaining. Though, the dick jokes got old.
I liked Your Highness, and was surprised to see just how much critical hate it's gotten. Not that it was anywhere near a masterpiece, but I think the weed title/jokes threw people off. It could be funnier, and there are probably more dicks than necessary, but it's surprisingly competent as a fantasy movie.
I'd guess the latter, given that "the" is in the title.
Scrubs, like almost every sitcom, sped up as it went along. Look at the later, zanier Seinfeld for instance. The first season of Scrubs had ridiculous fantasies and cutaways, but it was awfully quiet at many times as well. The bpm was turned up gradually throughout its run.
It's a shame that Lester and McNulty went crazy, but I can't say it doesn't make sense. A whole lot of anger between those two characters. Season 5 would have been fine, except every moment and every character in the newsroom sucked. Gus was alright.
