Goddammit, even though I figured this was coming after his ill health this year, it’s still a kick in the gut. I had the pleasure of seeing Dead Moon and Pierced Arrows a few times and they were always great. Fred was one of the last of the originals, a hard-drinking, hard-gambling, marathon-running, cross-country

I’m reading that right now. I think it’s a cheeky nod to the fact that atheism can become as dogmatic as any religion.

If they get anyone besides Simon Pegg to play Wee Hughie, then it’s a wash.

I don’t hate him - Daredevil and Alias are great - but he lapsed into lazy self-parody a decade ago and made an even bigger mess of the Marvel Universe in the meantime.

Yeah an Inhumans/Kree vs Imperial Guard/Shi’ar storyline a la War of Kings could have worked, but presumably Fox owns the X-men adjacent Shi’ar too.

So he named himself after the Undertaker’s original manager? I guess that’s still better than whatever the hell “Puffy AmiYumi” is.

That’s probably the only non-stealth mission in that game that works well - most of the others were somewhere between frustrating and unplayable.

Fuck, this looks awesome. I hope the Pinball Museum near my house gets it, but it usually takes them a couple of years to get new stuff.

Ginger Snaps and its sequels are great - way underappreciated.

Same thing works for zombies, found footage, torture porn, etc.

I wouldn’t call it the dumbest franchise while we have Evil Bong, Gingerdead Man, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Troll, Children of the Corn, Leprechaun, etc. It might be the most prolific though.

No we do not.

Matheson also wrote Stir of Echoes and What Dreams May Come, both of which are much darker than the movie adaptations suggest.

None of the movies are terrible by horror sequel standards. In fact the last couple have been strong entries.

The season was written before the campaign began, I believe.

And yet the Phil Lynott statue is, appropriately, fucking majestic.

Wow, no idea Sting wrote that song. Weird.

This is very true. It’s why “best albums” lists pretty much all cap off about ‘65 or later.
