Yeah but DC tends to only do it every four or five years, instead of Marvel’s annual relaunch. DC has plenty of other problems too though.

I actually fell off of reading Marvel stuff a few years ago because of the constant relaunching, renumbering, rejiggering, and rebooting, and the fact that even the books barely connected to the main continuity were forced into crossovers every three or four months. I can’t imagine how confusing and offputting this…
Isn’t that what Dusk is about?
Excellent. Really interesting stuff here, O’Neal. El-P’s a really interesting guy - he’s said he listens to John Carpenter to warm up for beat making, too. Plus, let us never forget his Steven Seagal fan-fiction.
I’m a little shocked at all the people hating on Buckaroo Banzai in this comment section.
There was a guy on here the day before that article went up, complaining about the female writers and “forced quotas” and “SJW” blah blah blah. Before that I had never even been aware of the issue.
I saw him do that and then the lady bit him on the nuts.
Yeah, there’s a handful of good songs, but it’s wildly uneven and sounds like ass.
Shot is really good, but Blue is not. No Mac McNeilly, no Albini, brickwalled master, too much studio fuckery...
I wonder if Yow still does the “tight n’ shiny” testicle trick. Might be a little tougher these days.
I’ve only watched the first episode of Big Mouth, and I love the voice cast, but I think I maybe laughed once throughout the whole thing. I’ll give it a couple of more episodes but I’m a little disappointed so far.
I feel like D’Angelo mostly grades fairly, despite the complaints of the commentariat. Sounds like this accomplishes what it set out to do and knows exactly what it is.
Likewise. Nice to see good b-movie trash like this with zero pretense still coming out.
Music by Die Antwoord!
Those movies are all bad too, just not in the usual Ratner style.
So, I skipped this series based on the universally bad reviews of the first season and the fact that the source comic is one of my all-time favorites. Can I just jump into season 2? Is there a good starting point?
I wasn’t a huge fan either but I always appreciated that he seemed more genuine, bullshit-free, and easygoing than just about any musician of his generation. His music is so direct and simple (in the best possible sense of the word).
In the Revenge from Mars pinball game, you can be an ambulatory Lincoln Memorial statue and uppercut the giant Martian boss back into the mothership.
Averagetar
Velour tracksuits, Ed Hardy shirts, Ugg boots, distressed denim, those button up shirts with flames....it’ll be glorious.
